Financial Analyst III
Nestled in San Francisco's Excelsior neighborhood on a nine-acre campus, the San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living (SFCJL) is a center of excellence in providing a continuum of care. POSITION SUMMARY
As a Financial Analyst III, you will perform advanced financial analysis, financial modeling, and forecasting to support strategic decision-making across the organization. You will drive budgeting processes, identify cost-reduction opportunities, and provide actionable insights to senior leadership. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively in a multi-entity healthcare environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build moderate to complex financial models, perform in-depth analysis, and identify and communicate risk areas.
- Drive the budget process for JHRC and Frank Residences, including census and non-staffing operational expenses.
- Analyze and review monthly budget variances with budget holders; identify key drivers and document and follow up on action items.
- Provide support to budget holders on financial reporting and analytical needs.
- Generate reports and key performance metrics for expense management.
- Serve as lead administrator for the Prophix budgeting system, ensuring the database is updated with staffing-related data (payroll, hours, etc.) and aligned with the payroll cycle for real-time reporting.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
JOB DETAILS
- Pay Rate: $125K - $130K (DOE)
- Hours: Full-Time, 40 hours per week
- Shift Schedule: AM | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Days Off: Saturday & Sunday
- Working Days: Monday through Friday
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Statistics, Accounting, or related field required.
- Minimum of five (5) years of finance or accounting experience.
- Advanced analytical skills with the ability to build financial models from scratch.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including modeling and macros.
- Proficiency in financial systems such as Prophix, Adaptive, Essbase, NetSuite, or Sage Intacct.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Strong leadership, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift, push, or pull a minimum of twenty-five (25) pounds.
- Ability to exert muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry.
- Ability to use abdominal and lower back muscles over time without fatigue.
- Ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods.
- Ability to bend, stoop, stretch, twist, sit, and reach.
- Fine motor skills with good visual and auditory acuity.
