Senior QA Lead (Must: SDET Experience)

Job Description: We are looking for a Quality Engineer Manager or Lead with Software Development Engineer in Testing experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with end-to-end implementation of fully automated quality solutions, and a proven track record in designing and implementing automated testing solutions as well as leading teams. As an SDET, you are an expert in the field of test automation, using your expertise to advocate for best practices, coach other SDETs, and implement test frameworks from the ground up. Your experience and leadership will shape the foundation of the test automation framework.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement end-to-end automated quality solutions, test automation frameworks, and comprehensive testing suites for large-scale, complex systems.
• Propose solutions to all levels of engineering teams including Architects, Directors, CTO.
• Drive test strategy at all levels of application architecture, including ownership of test automation for complex projects throughout the full lifecycle.
• Write fast, reliable, and maintainable automated test coverage, including tests for complex security and performance problem areas.
• Guide and define CI/CD pipeline design and execution to accelerate delivery, and ensure test code meets the same standards as production code.
• Collaborate with and mentor engineering teams to improve testing practices, process end-to-end (including agile practices and monitoring/logging in production).

Requirements:

• Experience & Leadership: 10+ years in software development with a wide breadth of engineering experience, including 4+ years in a senior or lead role. Proven experience leading teams of engineers.
• Technical Expertise: Hands-on expertise with application design, software development, and automated testing (6+ years automation experience).
• Systems Knowledge: Experience with distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, and relational databases.
• Core Technologies: 4+ years of experience with Java, and experience with JavaScript (React preferred) and database technologies.
• Process Knowledge: Strong understanding of agile testing methodologies (Holistic Testing, Agile Testing, Modern Testing, Continuous Delivery) and experience with practices like TDD, BDD, and Pair Programming.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Science Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• English: Advanced English is required. 

Desirable:

• Expertise in distributed systems, focusing on performance, scalability, and security.
• Experience with authorization/authentication domains and industry standards (e.g., OAuth2, OpenID Connect, SAML) within enterprise-scale applications.
• Cloud experience, familiarity with modern DevOps practices, and strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
• FinTech or Banking domain knowledge.
