The Role

Corporate Strategy & Transformation is responsible for delivering Schonfeld's highest priority strategic initiatives across our Investment, Operating, and Management Company platforms. Reporting to the Head of Corporate Strategy & Transformation, the Director – Corporate Strategy & Transformation will lead a growing team of Business Analysts and Senior Business Analysts based onsite in our 590 Madison Avenue, New York City office. You will shape the group’s vision, oversee portfolio-level planning, and ensure flawless execution of cross-functional programs that drive the firm’s long-term strategy. Our team manages a diverse range of cross-functional projects from planning to execution, connecting the firm's business strategy across the Front, Middle, and Back Office.

What you’ll do

In this role, you will shape the function’s strategic direction by establishing the operating model, processes and standards that elevate business analysis, project delivery and stakeholder engagement across the firm. You will take full ownership of executing the firm’s most complex, high-impact initiatives, acting as the principal program lead for multi-project portfolios that span the entire business. A core part of your remit is to manage, mentor and develop a high-performing team of Business Analysts and Senior Business Analysts, providing continuous feedback, establishing clear career paths and fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and professional growth.

In this position you will partner with executive leadership, particularly the COO and CTO to translate firm-level objectives into actionable roadmaps, OKRs, and success metrics. You will drive executive-level transparency by creating compelling analysis, steering weekly program reviews, and escalating risks with clear mitigation plans. Our ideal candidate has a proven track record in managing projects and teams within the financial services industry and demonstrates strong communication and problem-solving skills. This position is an exciting opportunity to lead transformation initiatives that directly impact Schonfeld's sustained long-term success.

What you need:

  • Exceptional leadership and people-management skills; ability to inspire, coach, and hold teams accountable.
  • 8+ years of experience leading large-scale strategic programs within financial services or management consulting, with at least 3 years managing teams.
  • Expert-level project/program management capabilities: road-mapping, dependency management, risk governance, and executive reporting.
  • Outstanding communication and influencing abilities; comfortable presenting to executive-level stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of markets, the trade lifecycle (including EMS, OMS, PMS, and trade settlement/matching), and hedge-fund operating models.

We’d love if you had:

  • Advanced data literacy; able to rapidly interrogate data, craft compelling narratives, and drive insight to action.
  • Hands-on experience with Objectives and Key Results (OKR) frameworks across cross-functional teams.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and passion for developing talent.
  • Familiarity with applying AI/ML techniques to streamline workflows and uncover strategic insights.
