Senior Data Analyst - LiveOps Automation

Scopely is looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join our LiveOps Automation team within our Midcore division in Spain on a hybrid or remote basis.

The LiveOps Automation team are responsible for building a sophisticated suite of LiveOps tools driven by Machine Learning (ML) for enhancing player experience within Midcore games. This initiative will implicitly change how Midcore manages its games in perpetuity. 

What You Will Do

  • Analyze player performance across Midcore games to better understand:
    • Spending behavior
    • Game progression needs and tracking
    • Player preferences
    • Store merchandising
    • Feature impacts on KPIs
  • Partner with our Machine Learning Engineers on analyzing model performance, applying new insights and learnings into our ML models, and share insights with end clients.
  • Proactively perform a wide range of analyses to identify/interpret trends, issues, and opportunities across all games
  • Answer performance-related questions & generate reports/dashboards through exploratory data analyses and ad-hoc reporting
  • Design and implement advanced statistical testing for specific problem-solving needs
  • Partner with game teams’ bespoke analyst team to align on analyses, exploration, and reporting.

What We're Looking For

  • 4+ years of experience as a data or financial Analyst  applying statistical analysis to B2C consumer behaviors (mobile apps, advertising, market activities)
  • Experience in free-to-play gaming
  • Degree in Analytics, Business Intelligence, Finance, Statistics or Computer Science, or other analytical discipline
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills, including the ability to:
    • Analyze situations and determine the best metrics for a situation
    • Conceptualize player behaviors based on data
    • Identify meaningful proxies of player behaviors where data doesn’t exist
  • Experience using SQL, including complex queries from multiple data sources
  • Experience creating, operating and analyzing multiple simultaneous A/B tests
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including extensive use of chart and table tools
