Scopely is looking for a Data Analyst team lead to join the Yahtzee Analytics team in Barcelona or in Israel on a hybrid basis!

Yahtzee® with Buddies is one of our casual free-to-play mobile games and is the modern version of the Yahtzee board game! The team is based in Europe and Israel, and works every day to create captivating new experiences for our players.

What You’ll Do 

  • Lead and Manage the Analytics Team: Oversee a team of analysts, ensuring that all tasks are executed efficiently, accurately, and to the highest standards. Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to foster team growth and performance.

  • Ensure Delivery Excellence: Own the delivery of all analytical outputs—ensuring they meet stakeholder requirements, are aligned with business priorities, and are of top-tier quality. Monitor progress, resolve blockers, and manage task prioritization across the team.

  • Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the primary analytics liaison with product, game design, marketing, operations, and other departments. Ensure alignment, clarity, and timely delivery of data-driven insights that support shared business goals.

  • Own Strategic Analyses: Personally take on analytical projects involving large and complex datasets representing the behavior of players. Turn data into actionable insights that shape strategy and decision-making.

  • Promote a Culture of Data Excellence: Champion best practices in analytics, testing, and experimentation. Encourage a data-informed mindset throughout the organization and contribute to the evolution of our analytics processes and tools.

  • Design and Interpret A/B Tests: Guide the team in designing, implementing, and analyzing experiments to evaluate features, optimize player experience, and drive continuous improvement.

  • Build Clear and Actionable Dashboards: Ensure the team delivers dashboards and reports that clearly communicate key game metrics and player behavior trends, empowering stakeholders to make informed decisions.

What We’re Looking For 

  • Intellectual curiosity, analytical rigor, adaptability, and the ability to innovate while working both independently and collaboratively.
  • 4+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, with experience in gaming.
  • Strong presentation and storytelling skills, with the ability to make complex results accessible across the organization.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities with strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView).
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or scientific field (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or related). Advanced degrees are a plus.
  • A passion for mobile games and curiosity about player behavior and industry trends.

Bonus points

  • Experience with Python or R for data analysis.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data warehouses (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift).
  • Experience in the gaming industry or related digital entertainment sectors.
