Creative Lead

ES - Barcelona, Spain

Scopely is looking for a highly motivated Creative Lead to drive the creative vision and campaign ideation for an unreleased RPG mobile game based on one of the world’s biggest entertainment IPs. The role is based in our Barcelona office on a hybrid schedule, as part of Flamed, Scopely’s in-house creative agency.

At Scopely, we care deeply about what we do and want to inspire play, every day - whether in our work environments alongside our talented colleagues, or through our deep connections with our communities of players. We are a global team of game lovers who are developing, publishing and innovating the mobile games industry, connecting millions of people around the world daily.

We are Flamed, Scopely’s in-house creative agency. An international multidisciplinary team that builds thousands of creatives every year to support all Scopely games’ Marketing needs. You will work on creatively leading the marketing initiatives for an unannounced RPG mobile game for one of the biggest entertainment IPs.

What You’ll Do

You will be the creative owner for one of our games within Flamed, the person responsible for leading all creative actions tied to that title. From translating marketing goals into creative strategies, to generating campaign ideas, to crafting clear production briefs, you ensure every creative initiative for your game is purposeful, aligned, and effective.

To do that, you’ll connect with stakeholders across Marketing, Product, Social & Communities and UA; within Flamed, you’ll collaborate closely with other Creative Leads, Copywriters, Strategists, and our Art and Animation teams to bring bold ideas to life, ideas that resonate with players, drive performance, and strengthen our brands.

Creative Strategy and Concept Development

  • Partner with Product Marketing, User Acquisition, and Brand teams to transform marketing strategies and objectives into actionable creative strategies and roadmaps.
  • Analyze audience insights, player motivations, and competitive trends to identify creative opportunities that drive engagement and performance.
  • Develop creative hypotheses and lead ideation sessions to generate concepts that balance innovation with data-informed decision-making.
  • Translate ideas into clear, actionable production briefs that guide Art and Animation teams through execution.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work hand-in-hand with Copywriters, Strategists, and other Creative Leads to ensure consistency, clarity, and creative excellence across all deliverables.
  • Partner with Project Managers and Producers to ensure briefs are well-scoped, actionable, and aligned with timelines, budgets, and performance goals.
  • Collaborate with marketing partners to review creative outcomes, extract learnings, and refine strategies based on data and insights.
  • Sync with UA, Social and Product teams to gather insights for upcoming campaigns.

Creative Quality and Consistency

  • Ensure every brief and concept aligns with the game’s brand, tone, and creative DNA while pushing boundaries to keep ideas fresh and differentiated.
  • Provide feedback and direction on early creative development to maintain clarity of vision throughout the production process.
  • Act as a guardian of creative intent, ensuring execution aligns with the strategic and emotional core of the idea.

Innovation and Creative Culture

  • Stay current on trends in gaming, digital advertising, storytelling, and audience behavior.
  • Contribute to a culture of experimentation, continuous learning, and creative exploration.
  • Share insights, references, and inspiration across teams to spark new ideas and cross-pollinate creativity.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience developing creative concepts and campaigns in gaming, entertainment, or digital advertising.
  • Strong conceptual and strategic thinking — you can turn marketing goals into clear creative directions and actionable briefs.
  • Proven experience in ideating and shaping performance-driven creative, ideally within a user acquisition or live-ops context.
  • A compelling portfolio demonstrating your ability to connect insight, idea, and execution.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills — both in presenting ideas and writing clear, inspiring briefs.
  • Experience collaborating across multidisciplinary teams and managing creative projects through indirect leadership.
  • Fluent in English, able to articulate creative reasoning with clarity and confidence.
