Senior Recruiter (One-year Contractor)
Scopely is hiring a Senior Recruiter / Talent Acquisition Partner (one-year contractor) to support the growth of our Shanghai studio. This role will partner closely with leadership to hire top talent across engineering, product, design, and marketing, supporting teams that build globally successful mobile games.
We’re looking for an experienced, full-cycle recruiter with strong local market knowledge, excellent stakeholder partnership skills, and a track record of hiring high-quality talent in competitive environments. You’ll have meaningful ownership, influence hiring strategy, and help shape how we scale the studio.
This is a contract role with strong potential to convert to full-time, offering exposure to global teams and long-term growth opportunities.
What You Will Do
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for multiple, complex searches, creating innovative sourcing strategies and engagement to bring the best talent.
- Partner with leadership to understand current and future hiring needs—especially as they relate to backfills, growth, and scalability and tailor recruitment strategies accordingly.
- Facilitate and lead meetings and key initiatives and projects with client groups and cross-functional teams that will continuously improve and scale our recruiting operations and results.
- Track and report on critical recruiting metrics to advise decision-making and continuously improve pipeline health and process efficiency.
- Drive diversity recruiting strategy and impact results in support of broader team/company aspirations.
- Partner and external staffing vendors in China, driving recruitment strategies and ensuring alignment with hiring goals for the Shanghai market; serve as the primary POC for vendor performance, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives. Flexibility is required to accommodate timezone differences.
- Collaborate with cross-functional team members and stakeholders, including regular and reliable attendance and participation in meetings.
What We're Looking For
- +6 years of internal/agency full-cycle recruiting experience required.
- Great conversational English as well as the ability to read and write in English
- Experience recruiting for technical roles
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of the mobile or video games industry is a plus
- Superior relationship building/networking skills, attention to detail and ability to create positive lasting impressions
- Flexible, self-motivated; able to deal calmly and professionally with ambiguity while leading in an environment of constant change
- Excellent interviewing, verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated time management and organizational skills with attention to details
