VP, Head of Product

Scopely Slate Development Group is looking for a VP, Head of Product to join and lead one of our newest and most exciting projects in the mobile gaming space in collaboration with a top development studio in China.

What You Will Do

The VP, Head of Product will be responsible for driving the product strategy and performance live operations working in collaboration with our partner studio.  You will report to the GM but serve as the main product thought leader on the core team.   

This role is an onsite or remote role located in Culver City, West Coast USA or in Shanghai, China. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the product strategy and roadmap through deep insights about the target audience, competitive landscape, and strength/weaknesses of the team and product.
  • Have a strong point of view on live game operations, monetization strategies, and roadmap investment and work with our partners to maximize those elements.
  • Create and build a small but elite team of PM/analysts to create data-informed roadmaps and drive those results to our partners.
  • Work in partnership with the GM and EP who will be focused ensuring a One Team Culture and effectiveness across language and cultural divides.
  • Work in cross functional teams to ensure game is receiving best-in-class publishing support
  • Be the main product leader voice within Scopely to champion the product and integrate feedback into the development and design direction.
  • Deliver transformational impact in revenue and profit for Scopely through vision, leadership, collaboration, and influence through the projects you are responsible for.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of mobile gaming experience in a product leadership role
  • Proven track record of using market and consumer insights to create success in new games
  • Proven track record of success live operations through a data informed lens
  • Experience working with external development teams and being able to create trust and influence.
  • Experience working with both Western game developers and publishers, bridging the cultural and business gap effectively.
  • Excellent communicator and collaborator who has demonstrated the ability to keep stakeholders invested in the product through thick and thin.
  • Ability to influence across disciplines and job functions through high IQ/EQ.
  • Bi-lingual and Bi-cultural, with fluency in both Mandarin and English is a plus
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, the ability to project manage and work effectively under deadlines and in complex business environments.
  • Strong problem solver who has an entrepreneurial mindset with a sense of urgency and is not afraid to roll your sleeves up.

In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for equity, bonuses, and a comprehensive benefits package, including healthcare benefits, retirement benefits, pet insurance, paid holidays, paid Scopely free days, and unlimited paid time off. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

CA, CO, NJ, NY, and WA Annual Salary Range

$250,000 - $295,000 USD
