Producer, QA与本地化 (One-year Contractor)

CH - Shanghai, China

Scopely is looking for a mid-level Producer of External Development to join Slate Development Group and contribute to an ambitious new AAA mobile ARPG game, based in Shanghai, China.

At Scopely, we care deeply about what we do and want to inspire play, every day - whether in our work environments alongside our talented colleagues or through our deep connections with our communities of players. We are a global team of game lovers who are developing, publishing and innovating the games industry, connecting millions of people around the world daily.

Slate Development Group owns Scopely’s editorial and content strategy, including the company’s greenlighting, Game Development Framework (GDF), studio strategy (organic and inorganic) and slate-wide budget and investment strategy.

What You Will Do

The Producer will support external development efforts and play a key role in coordinating production activities across development, QA, and localization partners. This role serves as the operational backbone for quality assurance and localization pipelines, ensuring smooth execution, clear communication, and consistent delivery standards across internal teams and external vendors.

You will work closely with the publishing team, development team, QA vendor, and localization vendor to manage priorities, track progress, and ensure deliverables meet quality and linguistic standards. The role requires strong organizational skills, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to identify gaps in process and drive continuous improvement.

  • QA Coordination & Release Readiness: Act as the central point of coordination between internal and external QA teams, development, and design. Own day-to-day QA communication, including managing test schedules, tracking test coverage, and following up on bug resolution. Support test planning activities such as writing or reviewing test cases, coordinating regression and smoke test cycles, and aligning QA scope with milestone requirements. Lead bug triage sessions, assist in severity classification, and ensure critical issues are escalated and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Localization & Localization QA Management: Serve as the primary production contact for localization vendors and localization QA teams across all supported regions and languages. Manage the full localization pipeline from string extraction and handoff through translation, review, implementation, and in-game verification. Maintain localization schedules, track deliverable status, and proactively surface risks that may impact regional release dates. Coordinate localization QA (LQA) cycles, including linguistic testing, cosmetic layout checks, and functional validation of localized builds. Manage feedback loops between LQA testers, translators, and developers to ensure issues are logged, prioritized, and resolved efficiently. Identify workflow inefficiencies and help optimize processes across translation management, asset handoffs, and LQA reporting.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination & Execution Support: Partner with Marketing, Community, and User Research teams to support community feedback initiatives and playtest requests. Maintain clear cross-team communication, help align stakeholders on priorities, and proactively remove blockers to keep projects moving forward.
  • Production Operations & Process Support: Take a hands-on approach to supporting additional production initiatives as needed, helping to drive alignment, mitigate risks, and keep cross-functional efforts on track.
  • Risk Awareness & Issue Management: Proactively identify risks or dependencies that may impact QA timelines, localization schedules, or overall delivery. Escalate issues when necessary and collaborate with stakeholders to drive practical, timely solutions.

What You Will Need

  • 3+ years of experience in game production, preferably supporting external development teams.
  • Hands-on experience managing QA processes end-to-end, including test planning, test case coordination, bug tracking and triage, and release readiness sign-off.
  • Direct experience working with external QA vendors, managing test schedules, tracking defect resolution, and maintaining quality standards across build cycles.
  • Hands-on experience managing localization workflows, including string handoffs, translation review cycles, and coordination with localization vendors and LQA teams.
  • Familiarity with localization QA processes, including linguistic testing, layout validation, and functional verification of localized builds across multiple languages.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional communication across development, QA, design, and external partners.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to track multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Experience supporting cross-team initiatives with Marketing, Community, or User Research is a plus.
  • Comfortable using production tools such as Jira and Airtable.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and adaptable in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
