About the Role

We’re seeking a visionary Director of Account Management to lead our team in delivering exceptional value to Private Equity Groups and their portfolio companies. Reporting to the VP of Account Management, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping Scorpion’s Home Services Business by driving client-centric strategies, fostering team growth, and building meaningful relationships with key stakeholders. This position is perfect for a leader passionate about inspiring high-performing teams, crafting innovative solutions, and driving measurable results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

What Your Success Will Look Like

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute account management strategies that enhance client satisfaction, retention, and revenue growth.
  • Build and coach a high-performing account management team, fostering a culture of accountability, excellence, and professional growth.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to team members and key clients, providing insights and recommendations to achieve their business objectives through Scorpion’s solutions.
  • Analyze market trends and client feedback to recommend and execute tailored strategies that align with evolving client needs.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, serving as the senior point of contact for major account opportunities or escalations.
  • Partner with service delivery teams to ensure seamless execution of services, swiftly addressing challenges to maintain client satisfaction.
  • Deliver personalized, vertical-specific solutions aligned with clients’ goals and objectives, collaborating with Sales, Marketing, and fulfillment teams to drive success.

Strategic Account Oversight

  • Oversee and manage a portfolio of high-value accounts, monitoring performance metrics, client satisfaction, and account growth.
  • Lead regular performance reviews, identifying opportunities for growth, minimizing churn, and driving revenue retention through upselling and strategic planning.

Private Equity and Digital Specialization

  • Provide expert insights on private equity and digital marketing strategies, staying abreast of industry trends and regulatory developments.
  • Drive innovative digital strategies and integrate them into client portfolios to enhance their success.

Operational Efficiency and Process Improvement

  • Collaborate with finance and internal teams to streamline account management processes, ensuring efficient and timely service delivery.
  • Implement best practices for tracking and reporting on account performance using technology and data analytics.

Risk Management and Compliance

  • Ensure client portfolios comply with industry regulations, internal policies, and reporting requirements.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks, communicating potential challenges to clients and implementing effective solutions.

Who You Are And What You Bring

  • 10+ years in account management or client service roles in a Digital Marketing Agency (or similar industry), with a proven track record managing private equity portfolios.
  • 5+ years of experience leading and coaching high-performing teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of digital marketing strategies, tools, and best practices.
  • Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to inspire, develop, and retain top talent.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively engaging with clients, team members, and executive leadership.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and other tools that support service delivery and client management.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, demonstrating adaptability and a results-driven mindset.
  • Strong executive presence with excellent presentation and strategic planning skills.

Compensation  

We acknowledge that states have passed legislation promoting pay transparency. As a national employer, Scorpion has made the decision to post our expected pay rate or pay range (as applicable) in all our job postings, regardless of geographic location.

  • The base salary is $160,000 (entry-level) - 180,000 (highly experienced).  This position's base salary + annual variable is $185,000 (entry-level) - $205,000 (highly experienced), exclusive of fringe benefits. If you are hired at Scorpion, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. Additionally, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer.  Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the total salary + annual variable range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth.
