About the Role
As a People Partner, you’ll support the full employee lifecycle while gaining the experience needed to grow into a strategic People Business Partner. This role blends hands-on HR support with exposure to talent management, employee engagement, employee relations, and workforce planning. You’ll partner directly with a small client group, providing day-to-day people support and guidance. Reporting to the Senior Director, you’ll also collaborate closely with the Senior People Business Partners, gaining mentorship and insight into strategic people initiatives.

What Your Success Will Look Like
- People Partnering (Small Client Group)
- Provide direct support to a small client group (Director level and below), building strong relationships and serving as a trusted advisor on people-related matters.
- Collaborate with People Operations, Talent Development, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, and Benefits teams to ensure accurate and timely employee records and transactions.
- People Business Partner (PBP) Support
- Support PBPs with data gathering, reporting, and preparation for talent reviews, organizational planning, and people strategies.
- Analyze trends in attrition, engagement, and performance to surface insights and recommend actions.
- Contribute to employee engagement, culture, and inclusion programs.
- Assist with talent calibration by preparing materials, tracking outcomes, and identifying future leaders and development opportunities.
- Compliance & Policy Guidance
- Ensure adherence to employment laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Support investigations or employee relations matters under the guidance of senior team members, gaining exposure to risk management strategies.
- Track employee issue trends and escalate potential risks appropriately.
- Support policy communication and rollouts.
- Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to cross-functional People team initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and enhance the employee experience.
- Stay informed on evolving HR best practices and local employment law updates.
Who You Are And What You Bring
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field—or equivalent practical experience.
- Professional certifications such as SHRM-CP, PHR, or Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) are a plus.
- Experience:
- 3+ years of HR experience (e.g., HR Coordinator, HR Assistant, or Generalist).
- Experience supporting business partners or working is preferred.
- Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Conflict resolution, mediation, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Curious, proactive, and eager to learn the business side of HR.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks.
- Open-minded, collaborative, and committed to fostering an inclusive workplace

Compensation
We acknowledge that states have passed legislation promoting pay transparency. As a national employer, Scorpion has made the decision to post our expected pay rate or pay range (as applicable) in all our job postings, regardless of geographic location.
- The base salary range is $80,000 (entry-level) - $90,000 (highly experienced), exclusive of fringe benefits. If you are hired at Scorpion, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. Additionally, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the total salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth.
- The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary bonuses or commissions.
