Job Description – Engineering Manager (Mechatronics/Robotics):
The Robotics team at SharkNinja is looking for a dynamic, experienced, and inspirational Manager with a strong background in Mechatronics and Robotics, including experience with software-driven systems, to lead and grow our engineering team while delivering innovative technologies.
We seek a strategic thinker with deep technical expertise, strong leadership skills, and a passion for guiding high-performing teams to solve complex engineering challenges in the development of cutting-edge robotic products.
EXCITING Things You'll Get To Do
- Drive the design and development of advanced robotic and mechatronic consumer products, from concept to launch, within our global development organization
- Lead and mentor a team of mechanical and mechatronics engineers, fostering growth in mechanical, electromechanical, and software-adjacent engineering skills
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Mechanical, Electrical, Software, and Systems Engineering, to guide system-level tradeoffs and ensure integrated product performance
- Oversee prototyping, testing, and validation of mechatronic systems, ensuring high-quality execution and adherence to technical standards
- Participate in system architecture discussions, ensuring mechanical, electrical, and software-driven behaviors are aligned
- Set team priorities, allocate resources, and ensure projects meet schedule, budget, and technical goals
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the engineering team
- Serve as the technical and managerial point of contact for key initiatives, communicating progress and recommendations to senior leadership groups

Attributes and Skills
- BS or MS (Preferred) in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Robotics Engineering
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical, mechatronic, or robotic system design and development, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role
- Proven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams, fostering technical growth and collaboration
- Strong analytical skills, methodical mindset, and relentless drive to identify potential problems and guide resolution
- Experience managing cross-functional projects involving mechanical, electrical, and software components
- Skilled in prototyping and laboratory testing of mechatronic systems
- Proficient CAD user (SolidWorks or CREO)
- Organized and skilled with Excel, Minitab, MATLAB, or similar tools for data analysis and decision-making
- Experience with firmware-driven features, and understanding software impact on mechanical systems
- Familiarity with control systems, motor control, sensors, and motion systems is a plus
- Skilled communicator able to translate complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Enjoys fostering professional relationships and promoting a collaborative team environment
- In-person role at our Needham, MA office
Preferred Attributes
- Experience in robotic or mechatronic product development, including experimental test plans to guide design decisions
- Experience integrating sensors, motors, actuators, embedded software, and electronics into electromechanical systems
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities, balancing short-term delivery with long-term strategic initiatives
- Previous experience at a consumer robotics company, consumer product company, or engineering consultancy
- Experience with electronics (analog/digital), sensors, motors, heaters, PCBAs, firmware debugging tools, and related components used in robotic appliances
Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary range for this position is displayed below. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

Pay Range
$90,000 - $189,100 USD
