You will work closely with cross-functional and international partners in a fast-paced culture where insights have a direct and visible impact. If you are excited by innovation, comfortable challenging thinking and motivated by turning consumer understanding into better products, we would love to hear from you.

Essential Functions

  • Serve as a consumer insights lead within cross-functional teams, connecting consumer and market understanding to product development priorities and go-to-market strategy.
  • Own the full research lifecycle, from developing discussion guides and surveys to moderating research, analysing results and delivering clear, actionable recommendations within budget and timeline.
  • Identify unmet consumer needs and pain points, translating feedback into specific opportunities for innovation and product improvement.
  • Recommend the right methodology for each business challenge and manage external research partners to deliver high-quality, efficient execution.
  • Synthesise qualitative, quantitative and market inputs into compelling strategic narratives that influence product and marketing decisions.
  • Partner across UK, European and global teams, ensuring local market perspectives inform broader product and commercial strategies.
  • Manage multiple workstreams with a high degree of autonomy, adapting quickly as business priorities evolve.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Methodological Depth: Strong understanding of qualitative and quantitative research, with the judgement to select the right approach for each business question.
  • Insight Synthesis: Ability to move beyond reporting data and connect findings across multiple sources into a clear, compelling point of view.
  • Strategic Orientation: Proactively identifies what the business needs to understand and turns research into commercially relevant recommendations.
  • Early-Stage Innovation: Comfortable working with ambiguity and using consumer insight to shape products during the early stages of development.
  • Communication and Influence: Presents recommendations confidently and concisely to cross-functional partners and senior stakeholders.
  • Executional Rigour: Effectively manages timelines, agencies, budgets and deliverables without compromising quality.
  • Adaptability: Thrives in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift and resourcefulness is essential.
  • International Perspective: Comfortable working across cultures and markets. Fluency in a second language, particularly a European language such as German, French, Italian or Spanish, is highly desirable.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent qualification or professional experience, in Marketing, Psychology, Behavioural Science, Social Sciences, Business, Statistics or another relevant discipline. A postgraduate qualification is beneficial but not essential.
  • Approximately 4–7 years of consumer insights or market research experience, ideally within FMCG, consumer technology, durable goods or an innovation-led organisation.
  • Experience applying core research methodologies such as concept testing, pricing research, packaging evaluation, segmentation and portfolio optimisation.
  • Hands-on experience moderating focus groups, conducting one-to-one interviews and interpreting quantitative research.
  • Familiarity with in-home usage tests, product experience research or in-store research environments.
  • Experience briefing and managing research agencies and other external partners.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills. Proficiency in an additional language is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work from our Battersea office three days per week to support close collaboration and cross-functional impact.
