JOB SUMMARY:

Oversees all travel services provided on behalf of Snow, both for internal travelers and Ambassador travel. The Travel Manager runs the travel department, having managerial oversight over all personnel participating in travel arrangements. Provides travel assistance to customers by performing the following duties.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Travel Manager must be able to perform the following essential duties and functions:

  • Provides all business-related reservation services for all travelers utilizing an onsite operation located at our corporate office

  • Provides high-quality services with online data management and reporting capabilities at competitive pricing

  • Manages all travel communication

  • Develops operational policies and procedures and implements the same

  • Troubleshoots for all travelers and provides recommendations and solutions

  • Trains employees on SNOW travel process

  • Develops strategic policies and programs for corporate travel

  • Manages relationships with travel agencies and vendors

  • Negotiates contracts or rates with travel service providers

  • Ensures compliance in all aspects of travel procedures

  • Suggests improvement and innovation in travel programs

  • Supervises other travel agents including managing their schedules and performance

  • Researches and recommends process improvement policies and procedures

  • Other duties may be assigned as required

Flexibility:

The core business hours that you work may change based on business needs. Candidates would need to understand this and expect that their shifts may change from time to time.

The size and nature of our company will require that you work in collaboration with people in other departments. Candidates must demonstrate their willingness/ability to step into other roles from time to time to drive the success of the company. Candidates will need to demonstrate their ability to be a contributing member of a team that has goals that are broader than an individual job description or function.


Language Skills/Communication:

Candidates must have the ability to read and comprehend general documents relating to the pharmaceutical/bio-technology industry that include but are not limited to: medical education, medical periodicals, clinical trial data, package inserts, medical procedures, industry regulations, and reimbursement/tax guidelines. Candidates must have the ability to prepare and present business reports and correspondence. Candidates will have demonstrated their ability to effectively and professionally communicate with managers, clients, customers, Ambassadors, and the general public. Working with patients requires candidates to exercise discretion and empathy as patients are living with chronic conditions. Fluency in a foreign language is a plus. Troubleshoots for all travelers and provides recommendations and solutions.

  • Time-management skills and ability to work under pressure and effectively multitask

  • Good organizational, management, and negotiation skills

  • Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines

  • Willingness to work out-of-work timings


Patient Privacy:

The core of our business is working with patients. It is most likely that you will come in contact with Personal Consumer Information (PCI) of patients living with chronic illness. It will be required that you take training courses that include but are not limited to:

  • Snow Policy Training

  • Health Insurance Portability and Programmability Act (HIPAA)

  • Adverse Program (AE) Reporting Training

  • U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Training


Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of contact management systems; database software; Internet software, word processing software, and SABRE.


Mathematical Skills:

Candidates will have the ability to comprehend and utilize basic mathematics as well as business statistics, to include percentages, ratios, discounts, interest, commissions, and proportions.


Reasoning Ability:

Candidates will have the ability to identify and define problems and apply effective problem-solving skills by collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions. Candidates will have the ability to deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Candidates will have the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Candidates selected for program positions are required to perform additional tasks, which include but are not limited to:

  • Creating strategic and succinct slide/Word documents based on ambiguous and often absent data/information

  • Effectively articulating in verbal and written form the capabilities of the corporation and how they can support client’s needs

Certificates, Licenses & Registrations:

Candidates must have a valid driver’s license. In some instances, a passport may be necessary.


Education and Experience:

Minimum five years of experience in corporate travel. Experience in managing staff.

The range below represents the low and high end of the base salary someone in this role may earn as an employee of an Omnicom Health Group company in the United States. Salaries will vary based on various factors including but not limited to professional and academic experience, training, associated responsibilities, and other business and organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees. Salary decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each hire.

  • $50,000 - $60,000
