Your Role
As a Fraud Prevention Manager you will be instrumental in building fraud detection strategy and systems and improving operational response to card transaction fraud. Your mission will be to establish a best-in-class card-fraud function for our credit card business, ensuring robust defences against emerging threats.
The ideal candidate combines a strategic vision with a hands-on approach to designing, implementing, and scaling fraud prevention capabilities.
- Develop and Implement Fraud Prevention Strategies: Design and execute strategies to detect and prevent fraudulent activities, with a focus on credit card transactions.
- Analyse Data to Identify Fraud Patterns: Utilize advanced data analysis techniques and SQL to identify fraud patterns, anomalies, and emerging threats. Provide proactive recommendations to refine risk rules and models, ensuring optimal fraud prevention.
- Monitor and Investigate Fraud Alerts: conduct investigations of fraud alerts, uncovering root causes and recommending corrective actions to mitigate future risks.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Partner with internal teams and external partners to implement scalable fraud management processes.
- Improve Capabilities: Regularly assess the effectiveness of fraud prevention tools and processes, identifying and implementing opportunities for improvement.

- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in fraud prevention and strategy within the financial services industry, focusing on credit card fraud. Proven track record of building fraud capabilities, processes, and strategies from the ground up.
- Knowledge of Fraud Prevention and Detection: Expertise in fraud schemes, rule-based monitoring systems, detection solutions, and fraud prevention techniques.
- Analytical Skills: Proficiency in SQL and Fraud tools, with a strong analytical mindset to derive actionable insights and recommendations with deep expertise in managing and analyzing big data sets. (Excel / Snowflake / Falcon / Cognos IBM / Visa/ Mastercard,, etc. etx,)
- Communication and Personal Skills: Self-starter with excellent communication skills at all organizational levels. Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a results-driven mindset.
- Language Skills: Professional proficiency in English required; German language is a plus.
