We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Audit Operations Support Specialist to support enhancing the efficiency of our Internal Audit function. This role reports to the Head of Audit Operations, and you will focus on streamlining processes, setting up reports, ensuring data accuracy, optimizing audit processes, and supporting the implementation of internal audit standards. This role offers an opportunity to play a key role in shaping the efficiency of our audit operations, reducing administrative burdens on the Internal Audit team, and driving long-term process improvements.

Your Role

  • Provide operational support for Internal Audit functions, including PMO activities, external audit report analysis, and work plan coordination.
  • Assist in preparing reports, analyses, and evaluations to support internal audit decision-making.
  • Support regarding follow-up actions on internal and external audit findings.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of auditing methods and restructuring audit processes.
  • Maintain and improve audit software tools and issue-processing systems (e.g., Jira).
  • Ensure data accuracy and maintain organized, structured documentation.
  • Support process improvements and system implementations within the audit function.
  • Assist in communication with regulatory authorities when needed.

  • 1–2 years of relevant experience, ideally in internal audit, consulting environment, or project management.
  • Experience with audit software, issue-processing systems, and data management tools (Excel proficiency required, including advanced formulas is a strong advantage).
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Experience in project management, writing procedures, and system improvements is a plus.
  • Familiarity with banking regulations such as AML, MaRisk is a plus.
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to optimize workflows using digital tools.
  • Good skills in German at a minimum B1 level as it is helpful when needed to communicate with regulators.
  • Ability to handle pressure, work efficiently under tight deadlines, and push back when necessary.
  • Open communicator with a solution-oriented mindset, willing to critically assess and improve processes.
  • English proficiency to engage with all international team members within the company
