(Senior) Risk Controlling Manager (f/m/d)

We are looking for an experienced and skilled (Senior) Risk Controlling Manager with strong technical expertise in financial modeling, stress testing, and ICAAP processes. This role requires a deep understanding of risk methodologies, regulatory requirements, and quantitative analysis to support risk assessment and strategic decision-making. You need to have deep hands-on experience with excel based financial risk modeling. Experience in ZEB consulting methodologies or working in a risk transformation environment will make you stand out.
Your Role
- Carry out risk inventory and creating overall risk profile of the bank and the group
- Operational fulfillment of risk management and controlling processes (identification, assessment control, monitoring and communication) for the bank and the group
- Development and maintenance of risk indicators and risk early detection systems for financial risks for the bank and the group
- Validation of applied methods in relation to ICAAP and preparation / review of the validation reports
- Monitor the risk situation and risk-bearing capacity as well as reviewing the limits set for the bank and the group
- Prepare risk reports and presentations to Head of Risk Controlling and stakeholders if requested for the bank and the group
- Support in the developing of staff in the Financial Risk Management team
- Report on Risk Management and related initiatives to the organization’s management, its implemented Committees when requested on the bank and group level
- Coordinate and participate internal/external meetings with auditors, regulators and other third party stakeholders if requested for the bank and the group
- Fulfill relevant tasks related to outsourcing agreements for Risk Management related processes of subsidiaries of Solaris when applicable
- Deputy of Risk Controlling Function including monitoring and communication of material risks including potential impact from Sustainability (ESG) Risks

- 5+ years of experience in financial risk management or risk controlling in the banking or other similar financial institutions
- Experience with ZEB methodologies, risk transformation consulting, or working in a strategy/risk advisory firm is a strong plus
- Hands on experience with ICAAP and stress testing frameworks
- Knowledge of economics, accounting, risk management, mathematics, or statistics
- Educational degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or any other related field
- Knowledge of German banking regulations and regulatory standards related to risk management
- Analytical and detail-oriented
- Integrity and strong stakeholder management skills
- Fluent in English to engage with all international team members within the company. German communication skills is a strong advantage
