Team Lead AFC Investigations & SARs (d/f/m)

About Your Future Team

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Team Lead to strengthen our Anti-Financial Crime team. You will oversee two critical sub-teams: Investigations and SARs (Suspicious Activity Reports) and be responsible for guiding and developing their Functional Leads and analysts (total team size: 15+). Reporting directly to the Head of AFC Investigations, you will drive quality, compliance, and operational excellence across the team

Your Role

  • Lead and develop a team of skilled investigators and SARs. Provide guidance, mentorship and direction to the team 
  • Review the quality work of the Functional Leads and ensure SLAs are met for the sub teams 
  • Identify gaps and create aligning procedures
  • Act as the escalation point for analysts within the Investigations and SARs teams, addressing complex cases and challenges.
  • Prepare required internal reports as requested and externally to regulators 
  • Design, facilitate, and deliver training programs for new hires and current team members
  • Provide support during incidents and escalations
  • Cooperating closely with both 1st and 3rd lines of defense teams
  • Develop technical specifications for new functionalities or product assessments from AFC investigations perspective 
  • Internal and external audit management

  • Several years of relevant work experience in the Financial Crime Investigations or Anti Money Laundering in banking or fintech industries 
  • In-depth understanding of Anti-Financial Crime regulations and compliance practices 
  • Educational degree and/or successfully completed apprenticeship in banking, law, business administration, or any other related field 
  • Good understanding of software for risk management
  • Sound people management skills with first experience in leading and developing a team
  • Very good knowledge of regulatory standards
  • Good understanding of quality assurance processes
  • Proactive communication style and mindset, driven and optimistic person
