Position Summary
The VP, Therapy and Integrated Care is a new, prominent role within SOL Mental Health. As VP, Therapy and Integrated Care, you will be accountable for:
- Joint accountability for the performance, growth and development of our Therapy Supervisor cohort (in tight collaboration with our Market Medical Directors and Market Operations Leaders). Therapy Supervisors are key to SOL’s success: they coach and manage our therapist team and help us realize excellence in therapeutic outcomes, superior access for patients, as well as key performance indicators for our business. Therapy Supervisors also devote a portion of their time to direct patient care.
- Continual advancement, in partnership with our Chief Medical Officer, of SOL’s integrated care model, which is designed to deliver comprehensive, superior outcomes for patients. SOL’s care model focuses on delivering excellence in psychiatric and psychotherapeutic care, as well as optimizing our integrated dual-specialty model to achieve superior outcomes.
As VP, Therapy and Integrated Care you will hold the most senior therapist position in our company and - through oversight of our Therapy Supervisor team and exposure to our entire clinician workforce - will have significant opportunity to support and influence all SOL clinicians. You will be expected, like all SOL clinicians, to devote a portion of your time to direct patient care.
Reports to: Chief Medical Officer
Location: This is a remote role with a very strong preference to have a candidate in either Denver, Colorado, New York, New York or the DC Metro Market.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Listen intently to our therapist workforce to develop solutions that advance our objective to the become the best place to work for mental health clinicians
- Oversee Therapy Supervisors across the company. This may involve direct or indirect (matrixed) management of Therapy Supervisors. Therapy Supervisors manage cohorts of 12-20 therapists within a given market, which includes clinical supervision and direct management of our therapists, as well as clinical supervision of Associate Therapists.
- Develop and deliver an impactful learning and development program for our entire therapist cohort (including interns, associate therapists, therapists, and Therapy Supervisors) to support their achievement and performance in role and continued career growth
- Partner with the CMO and Medical Directors to strengthen the integration between psychotherapy and psychiatric services, ensuring therapists are equipped and supported to deliver our integrated care model while identifying opportunities to enhance collaborative patient care
- Reinforce clinical rigor through clinical case review, documentation auditing and outcomes tracking
- Collaborate with the Chief Medical Officer to design and deliver against our clinical services roadmap, including the integration of tools, resources and vendors that support integrated care excellence and a seamless experience for patients and clinicians alike.
- Manage key clinical performance metrics across the therapy organization, partnering with Therapy Supervisors to build understanding of patient outcome measures and implement targeted improvement strategies that advance both clinical excellence and patient satisfaction
- Drive clinical quality initiatives and best practice implementation across the therapy workforce, including the development of standardized protocols, evidence-based treatment approaches, and systematic processes that support consistent, high-quality patient outcomes
Job Requirements & Skills:
- At least 5 years of management and supervisory experience.
- Deep leadership experience with multi-site, multi-market healthcare delivery organizations.
- High integrity leadership style with a positive outlook, collaborative mindset, and entrepreneurial spirit.
- A sense of flexibility and prioritization in juggling both long-term, strategic projects and ad hoc, urgent requests as needed in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Licensure:
- LCSW with at least five years of experience in practice and active clinical licensure in at least one SOL market (NY, MD, Washington, D.C., VA, CO)
- Ability to obtain cross-licensure across all SOL markets highly preferred
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- In addition to a Masters in Social Work, preference for additional master's degree, whether a masters in public health (MPH), health administration (MHA), business (MBA) data science, etc.
- Work authorization:
- Must have credentials to work in the U.S.A.
