We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to develop and maintain SonicWall security service software and support backend data center operations. This role focuses on building high-performance, scalable, and secure systems that power next-generation cybersecurity solutions.
The ideal candidate has strong expertise in C/C++ systems development, networking or cybersecurity technologies, and deep knowledge of operating system internals and performance optimization. You will collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to design reliable, low-latency services while contributing to technical innovation across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain SonicWall security service software.
- Support operation, monitoring, and maintenance of SonicWall backend data center infrastructure.
- Build high-performance, multi-threaded systems optimized for scalability and low latency.
- Apply strong computer science fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, networking, and computer security principles.
- Analyze, debug, and resolve complex system and performance issues.
- Optimize system performance, memory utilization, and concurrency handling.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering, QA, and operations.
- Contribute to system architecture discussions and technical design decisions.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in C/C++ systems software development.
- Strong expertise in Networking or Cybersecurity concepts, including:
- TCP/IP
- IPsec
- VPN technologies
- Routing and NAT
- Deep Packet Inspection (DPI)
- Experience designing multi-threaded, high-performance, low-latency systems.
- Strong understanding of:
- Operating system internals
- Memory management
- Concurrency and synchronization
- Networking stacks
- Excellent analytical, debugging, and performance tuning skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with DPDK, NetFilter, or equivalent packet-processing frameworks.
- Experience working on security appliances, firewalls, or network infrastructure products.
- Exposure to large-scale backend or data center environments.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of relevant experience, OR
- Master’s degree with 5+ years of experience, OR
- PhD with 3+ years of experience, OR
- Equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Degree: Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
