Senior Analysis Manager 

 

Department overview: 

In Game Analytics, we work with some of the best game studios in the world -- responsible for developing some of the most recognizable and ambitious console games and franchises on PlayStation, including Uncharted, The Last of Us, Horizon, God of War, and Gran Turismo. 
 
We provide end-to-end analytics services for PlayStation Studios and use data to help them make their amazing games even better. We are looking for talented people to join us in pushing the boundaries of game analytics for PlayStation games. 

 

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Manage, lead, and grow a team of data analysts 

  • Deliver trusted, accessible insights that identify opportunities and inform design and business decisions 

  • Partner with data analysts and engineers to define, implement, and report on KPIs that measure the health of PlayStation Studios games 

  • Build clear and concise dashboards and presentations from large sets of complex data for consumption across the organization 

  • Design and document standard events to enable scalability across the analytics team 

  • Develop and manage towards a data analytics vision for PlayStation Studios titles, including:  

  • Dashboards and reporting 

  • Experimentation design, implementation, and evaluation 

  • Improving existing and developing new telemetry 

  • Manage and develop a team of analytics professionals 

 

What we are looking for: 

  • Experience building or managing data analyst teams
  • Experience with strategic analytical problem solving and delivering results
  • Attention-to-detail in query-writing and reporting
  • Capable of presenting clear and concise findings to any level of the organization
  • Strong quantitative and SQL skills on large populations (e.g., 3M+ unique users generating many events per session)
  • Ability to collaborate with Analytics Engineering to develop scalable, efficient, cost-effective Analytics solutions in a cloud environment
  • Experience leveraging statistics and data science to solve business problems
  • Skilled with at least one visualization tool such as Looker or Tableau
  • Strong stakeholder management with senior leaders
  • The ability to drive order and clarity among competing priorities
  • Familiarity with modern PC and/or console games (PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Switch) 
  • Analytics experience on a live service product such as a game, ecommerce platform, or mobile app

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

The estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.

$207,800 - $311,600 USD
