Job Title: UI Artist

Location:  San Diego Studio, San Diego-Sorrento Valley

 

This is a Contract role. Full remote is an option for this role.

 

San Diego Studio is looking for a highly skilled UI Artist to contribute to the creation of visuals for our front-end user interfaces. The ideal candidate would possess a deep understanding of both visual communication and information hierarchy to provide the best product to our customers. This person also has a strong understanding of typography, iconography, and animation.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Design all facets of the user interface by creating visual mockups from wireframes that include animations, icons, backgrounds, logos and more.

  • Collaborate with Designers, Programmers, and the Experience team to create top tier experiences across the game.

  • Bounce between multiple tasks, projects, and requests while maintaining a consistent quality.

  • Provide and receive constructive feedback and critique.

  • Find creative ways to solve problems within tech capabilities.

 

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with user interfaces, graphic design, and asset creation.

  • Strong knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator & After Effects. Experience with Figma or Adobe XD.

  • Strong iconography, animation, and typography skills.

  • Excellent team player who is eager to collaborate.

  • Understanding of fundamental graphic design principles, usability, and UI design best practices.

  • Ability to produce high quality work quickly within strict deadlines and time constraints.

  • Ability to work with frequent design changes and iterations.

  • Knowledge of current graphic, video game, and web design trends.

  • A passion for video games and/or Baseball is a plus.

  • Experience working on Mobile apps/ Mobile games is a plus.
