Staff Machine Learning Engineer, Enterprise Enablement

The Enterprise Enablement Machine Learning team is committed to delivering powerful AI/ML capabilities that support our internal business functions such as HR, Finance, Supply Chain, IT, and more.

Seeking a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to develop scalable ML/AI solutions that improve productivity and decision-making across the enterprise. Ideal for someone passionate about driving internal transformation through AI and collaborating with diverse collaborators to solve complex problems.

Shape our technical strategy for enterprise ML/AI and work with groundbreaking technologies, tools, and processes to deliver robust solutions.

You Will:

  • Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models and systems to optimize internal operations, automate workflows, and enhance decision-making for internal business functions like HR, Finance, Supply Chain, IT and more.
  • Collaborate with internal collaborators, business IT teams, and business teams to transform complex business and operational needs into ML/AI solutions that align with enterprise goals.
  • Guide and mentor junior ML engineers, fostering a collaborative environment and helping the team adopt standard processes in enterprise ML/AI development.
  • Drive the exploration and application of brand-new Generative AI technologies (e.g., LLMs, LVMs) to improve processes such as knowledge management, business intelligence, and employee self-service.
  • Develop tools and APIs that enhance enterprise systems, such as ERP, CRM, and collaboration tools, ensuring seamless integration and high performance.
  • Influence enterprise technology strategy by integrating ML/AI into key business processes, contributing to PlayStation’s overall enterprise enablement strategy.
  • Implement and advocate for fairness, accountability, and transparency in enterprise ML/AI solutions.

You Bring:

  • Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field specializing in machine learning, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala, with proficiency in machine learning libraries and frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Mlib, and others.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale commercial machine learning products from conception to production, in technical leadership roles.
  • Expertise in a variety of machine learning and AI techniques, such as supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning, reinforcement learning, natural language processing, and computer vision.
  • Experience with the latest industry knowledge in Generative AI technology with the ability to formulate GenAI-specific use cases and implementations that are optimized for cost and scalability.
  • Experience with software engineering principles, big data stacks such as Spark, and use of cloud services like AWS, or GCP for machine learning development and deployment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to collaborators with limited prior knowledge in ML/AI.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate through ambiguity to achieve results.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience developing AI/ML-powered tools for enterprise applications and integrating with enterprise systems such as ERP, CRM, HR management platforms, Enterprise knowledge management, etc.
  • Contributions to the machine learning community through publications, open-source projects, or presentations.
  • Experience working with structured and unstructured data, including documents, images, and text, in enterprise contexts.

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

The estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.

$221,800 - $332,600 USD
