Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) is seeking a skilled and experienced Third-Party Game Producer to join our team! The successful candidate will facilitate the development and ongoing success of a live service game project developed by one of Sony's esteemed external studio partners. A background in producing a shipped game and/or running post-launch updates for live service games is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with the third-party development studio. Facilitate clear and consistent communication to ensure alignment deliverables, expectations and blockers. 
  • Business Operations: Coordinate contract schedules, budgets approvals and any business operation between the external partner and internal departments such as, but not limited to, quality assurance, finance and legal. 
  • Live Service Support: Monitor post-launch content, including major expansions, DLC, in-game events, and regular updates. Collaborate with the development team as they establish and implement a robust content roadmap that keeps players engaged in order to keep SIE stakeholders informed. 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaise with various internal Sony teams to ensure a cohesive and successful game life cycle. 
  • Project Management: Assist with project lifecycle when needed, from milestone planning and execution to post-launch content strategy. Support project timelines, budgets, and prioritisation to ensure timely and high-quality delivery. 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience: Demonstrated ability in a game production role, with at least one shipped title on console or PC. 
  • Live Service Expertise: Demonstrable experience working on a live service game, with a strong preference for candidates who have led the production and release of DLC and other post-launch content. 
  • Third-Party Production: Proven ability to manage and collaborate effectively with external development partners. 
  • Platform Knowledge: A good understanding of the PlayStation ecosystem and its certification processes. 
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely to a variety of audiences. 
  • Problem-Solving: Proactive and adept at identifying and mitigating risks to the project timeline, budget, and quality. Flexibility and adaptability are key requirements. 
  • Passion for Gaming: A genuine passion for video games and a deep understanding of current industry trends, particularly within the live service genre.
