The Senior Analyst, Corporate Reporting is responsible for providing accounting support and management reporting to Sony Music’s central corporate divisions in the US including finance, legal affairs, people experience and facilities. The position will directly handle all accounting and reporting for monthly results, forecast and budget. The position is highly visible, working directly with business leads and requires someone with strong communication and analytical skills.
What you'll do:
- Develop and coordinate annual departmental budgets, forecasts and prepare monthly results for presentation to Departmental Executives, including commentary
- Review and analyze monthly financial results for assigned departments. Handle departmental inquiries regarding monthly results.
- Prepare annual budget and monitor on-going risks and opportunities for monthly forecasts.
- Record monthly journal entries including monthly accruals and other activities related to month and year-end closings.
- Review and approve invoices for proper coding and processing to AP. Research invoice related issues.
- Review internal controls and processes and make recommendations for improvements and automation.
- Develop and prepare supporting schedules for external auditors for corporate overhead areas.
- Ad hoc special projects and analyses as assigned.
Who you are:
- Bachelor or Master Degree; in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, public experience preferred.
- Strong Excel skills
- Strong working knowledge of SAP or similar GL systems .
- CPA or parts passed preferred
- Collaborative and team oriented approach. Willing to grow and take on new projects and work independently

New York Pay Range
$70,000 - $85,000 USD
