Talent Acquisition Specialist (Fixed-Term, 12 Months)

We seek a seasoned Talent Acquisition Specialist (12-month Fixed Term) to join our Talent Acquisition team. In this role, you will be pivotal in recruiting and hiring top talent for SoundCloud, with a focus on our Engineering, Product and Design organisation. The ideal candidate has experience supporting full-cycle recruitment in dynamic and fast-paced environments, can learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities with agility, all while maintaining excellent candidate and hiring manager experience. Prior experience in companies with a focus on music tech, product, and engineering is a plus.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with hiring managers and stakeholders to understand role requirements and team goals
  • Ability to quickly understand business needs around our Engineering, product and design Orgs (EPD)
  • Build and execute strategic sourcing and recruitment plans to attract top-tier engineering talent
  • Utilise a variety of sourcing channels including job boards, social media, tech communities, and professional networks
  • Lead kick-off meetings and guide the full recruitment lifecycle, from first outreach to offer negotiation and post-hire engagement
  • Conduct thorough candidate assessments, evaluating both technical capabilities and cultural add
  • Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to continuously improve our recruiting processes, tools, and employer branding
  • Ensure every candidate has a positive experience, staying engaged and informed throughout the hiring process

 

Background & Experience:

  • Proven experience as an in-house recruiter, specifically within engineering, product and design recruitment, but also enthusiastic about taking on other roles across the business
  • Solid understanding of engineering roles, technologies, and industry trends. Strong focus on hiring engineers, product managers, engineering managers, technical programme managers, and product designers
  • Familiarity with various sourcing techniques, including online job boards, social media, and professional networks
  • Experience conducting technical interviews and evaluating candidates’ skills in various technical roles, including but not limited to Machine Learning, AI, Software Development, Mobile and Media streaming
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and build relationships with candidates and stakeholders
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple recruitment processes simultaneously
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality hires within established timelines
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment tools
  • Passion for technology and the ability to effectively communicate SoundCloud's mission and culture to prospective candidates
  • Strong focus on DEI recruitment by structuring processes and policies that promote diversity
  • Source, network with and proactively reach out to minorities, non-male candidates, people with disabilities or other under-represented groups

  • Prior experience in companies with a focus on music tech, product, and engineering
