SoundCloud is looking for an Artist & Label Relations Manager to be our ambassador across the European music ecosystem (ex-UK), building relationships with artists, managers, labels, and distributors while helping shape our electronic music strategy from our Berlin office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary ambassador for SoundCloud across the European music ecosystem (ex-UK), building and nurturing relationships with artists, managers, labels, and distributors
  • Educate partners on platform best practices and provide day-to-day technical and operational support
  • Collaborate with artists & labels to create strategic plans for music content releases that increase platform engagement, monthly active usage (MAU) and subscriptions
  • Host artist visits & performances from the Berlin office
  • Play a pivotal role in the development and execution of SoundCloud’s electronic music strategy
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams including music marketing, content operations, product, and data science/analytics

Experience and Background:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of artist/label relations, A&R, or partnership management within a record label, distributor, management company, or DSP
  • Interest across music genres, with a particular expertise in European electronic music 
  • Effective communicator and comfortable in front of a camera
  • Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment across various time zones
  • Results-driven, proactive, and resourceful team player with a talent for identifying opportunities, developing creative plans, and driving them to completion
  • Fluent in English

Data Transfer

SoundCloud will share your data with the responsible employees of their People Team and with employees otherwise involved in your application process.

Furthermore, external companies may process your personal data on our behalf on the basis of order processing contracts in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR. Categories of recipients in this case are Internet service providers, providers of employee management systems and software, and providers of software that we use in all departments (e.g., video conferencing software).

Your personal data will be shared with Greenhouse Software, Inc., a cloud services provider located in the United States of America and engaged by SoundCloud to help manage its recruitment and hiring process on SoundCloud’s behalf. Accordingly, if you are located outside of the United States, your personal data will be transferred to the United States once you submit it through this site. Because the European Union Commission has determined that United States data privacy laws do not ensure an adequate level of protection for personal data collected from EU data subjects, the transfer will be subject to appropriate additional safeguards under standard contractual clauses. By submitting your application, you expressly consent to your data being transferred to the USA for processing as described above.

 

Retention Period

If we enter into employment with you after the application process, we will not delete your information until the employment ends. Otherwise, we will delete your data no later than six months after filling the position. If you have given us your consent to also use your data for further application procedures, we will only delete your data one year after receiving your application.

Your Rights 

Under the GDPR, you have the right to request access to your personal data, to request that your personal data be rectified or erased, and to request that processing of your personal data be restricted. You also have the right to data portability and the right to object. You also have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.
