ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a Product Owner, you will be the primary advocate of the customer and the strategy inside each Agile team. You will support Product Management function, engage in active management of the product lifecycle, support the development team, and maintain alignment with the Solution. The PO aligns the Agile Team’s efforts with the organization’s strategic goals and represents the Business, ensuring clear communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to convey intricate technical and business concepts and requirements. This will include documenting business requirements, developing user stories and detailed acceptance criteria.
What You'll Do:
- Manage and own the team(s) level backlog
- Guides user story creation: Elicit and document user requirements to meet a business objective. Identify and validate requirements and organize the information into a logical document that is understood by the customer and Agile team members (development and test)
- Prioritize backlog items
- Accept stories (Definition of Done)
- Support stakeholders and product management: guide both technical and customer teams in the development of the systems that support the business solution.
- Support and facilitate agile teams during PI plannings
- Facilitate the transfer of knowledge about the direction of the business units to others who support them.
- Provide input on the business direction for system changes.
- Validate the business need for solutions to business problems and process improvements.
- Assist in the development and documentation of training materials. Mentor or train less experienced staff.
- Learn and demonstrate a command of the product and solution
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- 4 years of IT business analysis experience.
- Demonstrated understanding of concepts of the supported business unit.
- Basic knowledge of standard industry practices.
- Demonstrated knowledge of procedures for the business unit.
- Visionary Thinking

- Excellent communication skills and ability to demonstrate effective communication with technical and non-technical audiences, including expressing complex technical and business concepts to all management levels, peers, and the business units.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Understands how IT affects an organization and can link it to business processes.
- Exceptional Decision Making.
- Excellent analytical skills. Good conceptual skills.
- Able to read and comment on test plans and test matrices, project plans, and scope and design documents.
- Agile Product Owner or Agile Business Analyst Experience
- Transactional Data Experience
- Experience with Jira/Confluence
- SAFe Experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Will be working with and presenting to other companies, contractors, and CMS.
- Ability to lead, work independently and as part of a team.
- Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
- Candidates must have lived in the United States 3 out of the past 5 years
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- CMS or Medicare Experience including provider enrollment knowledge
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree
- Agile Product Certification, such as SAFe POPM
