Location: Hybrid – 2 days/week in office

POSITION OVERVIEW

Who You Are

We are seeking an experienced, analytical and solutions-oriented Systems Administrator to thrive in a growing IT organization. This individual will work closely with the Associate Director of IT & Security and Director of Information Technology in a cloud first organization building a technology foundation that promotes collaboration, enhanced security, and anywhere access to applications and services to support our staff and mission. What You’ll Do

  • Systems Administration & Networking
    • Administer and manage SEO desktop image using VMware’s Workspace One, Microsoft Intune, and JAMF
    • Manage Active Directory and associated Single sign on (SSO) products such as Okta
    • Manage Switch, Router, Wi-Fi and Firewall administration, upgrades, and support
    • Implement and maintain security on systems and devices that are connecting to the SEO network
  • Process Improvement & Evaluation
    • Analyze long term IT system needs and collaborate on process improvement, change management and automation
    • Assure systems operating efficiently by performing routine maintenance and routine systems capacity validation
    • Create and maintain IT system documentation and diagrams
    • Be a thought leader and proactive about security monitoring and automation of our systems.
  • Customer Service
    • Provide hybrid onsite support coverage during business hours with 3 days per week required in office. Occasional after-hours support and scheduled work is required
    • Serve as primary escalation point for Help Desk to triage, dispatch and resolve incident tickets as necessary
    • Perform AV setup and testing at our NYC office and guidance to CA office
    • Provide consistent support of core IT platforms including O365, Box, Zoom and Okta
  • Special Projects
    • Collaborate independently on projects with IT vendors and IT Application team, and Associate Director of IT & Security.
    • Coach and mentor team members and work closely with Program technical staff

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of direct experience with Windows and MAC Administration in roles with increasing levels of responsibility and autonomy
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with AV technology, equipment and software
  • 3+ years of experience managing and deploying servers and services within a commercial cloud infrastructure. Microsoft AZURE is preferred.
  • Understanding of systems security, backup and recovery required
  • Candidate must be familiar with the day-to-day IT operational tasks
  • Experience with ITSM ticketing tools, Zendesk preferred
  • Workspace One (formerly AirWatch) and Microsoft Intune experience preferred
  • Experience with Cisco, Meraki, and VMware administration preferred
  • Experience with Active Directory and cloud Identity Management, Okta preferred
  • Excellent analytical, process design and problem-solving skills; ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks within a collaborative team environment
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (from an accredited college or university) in IT, Engineering, Computer Science or a similar field.
