Position Summary    

SRS Acquiom is currently recruiting for an experienced Relationship Associate to handle the pre-closing and post-closing administration of M&A escrow, payment, and pre-closing solicitation transactions for its European business. This individual will work directly with a Relationship Manager on transactions and will be required to interact with outside counsel, company principals, and internal partners (operations, compliance, legal, etc.) to onboard new escrow and payment administration appointments and administer the deals post-closing to ensure compliance with the governing documents.

The Relationship Manager and the Relationship Associate will be the primary contacts for all participants in the M&A escrow and payment transaction. Additionally, the Relationship Associate with have the role of acting as the bridge between the deal parties and our internal operations and payments teams to ensure those groups are processing the deal correctly. The ideal candidate is focused on providing an exceptional client experience, has good availability and a sense of urgency, can juggle various responsibilities that are time sensitive, and is detail-oriented. 

Given the early-stage nature of our European business, the Relationship Associate must be adept at working autonomously, navigating the challenges of a scale-up and regulated environment with limited resources. This role presents a unique and exciting opportunity to shape the foundation of a rapidly expanding business and make a significant impact on the success of our operations in the UK and EU.

This position is based in SRSA’s London office. The Relationship Associate will work closely with and coordinate matters with the operational teams in the UK and the Netherlands. The salary range for this position is between £55k - £ 60k, depending on experience level.

Primary Responsibilities    

  • Coordinates internally with operations and payments departments to successfully solicit and distribute proceeds to shareholders.
  • Requests and reviews payment spreadsheets to ensure all relevant information is provided and forwarding the same to internal operations.
  • Reviews, comments on, and finalizes onboarding details and other solicitation documents to ensure they are in compliance with operational procedures.
  • Updates deal specifics on SRS Acquiom’s internal database.
  • Fields inquiries from corporate principals, buy/sell-side counsel, and major shareholders.
  • Confirms deal documents are properly accounted for and loaded into the internal database (request executed copies of the governing documents, etc.).
  • Responsible for tracking all pending and closed transactions.
  • Opportunity to accompany the sales team or the Relationship Manager on sales meetings to grow and scale the European business.
  • As one of the first Relationship Associates in Europe, the candidate will have the opportunity to help train future Relationship Associates and establish and cultivate the payments and escrow team’s culture in Europe.

 Required Qualifications & Skills  

  • 3-5 years of experience (M&A, banking, or finance helpful) or equivalent experience through education is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Top notch Customer Service and written communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to different (corporate) cultures.
  • Ability to become a subject matter expert in payment processes (e.g., know-your- customer requirements, wire payment process, etc.)
  • Knowledge or ability to quickly learn basics of M&A transactions and be open to coaching or teaching.
  • Must be able to work within a group, and handle the activities of an administrative assistant.
  • Ability to project manage and juggle various time sensitive tasks.
  • NetSuite experience required.
