Chief Integration Officer (M&A)

Role Description

The Chief Integration Officer will serve as a key executive responsible for leading our company's ambitious merger and acquisition (M&A) integration strategy. Reporting directly to the CEO and as a member of the Executive Leadership Team, they will orchestrate the seamless integration of acquired entities, ensuring alignment with our corporate vision and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will drive the optimization of business systems to support scalable growth, demonstrating exceptional program management and long-term planning skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the rapid integration of acquisitions to meet near-term and ongoing financial targets, minimizing disruption and maximizing synergies
  • Scale business systems effectively to support high-quality operations and accommodate growth, particularly during periods of integration and new system implementation
  • Lead a comprehensive workforce transformation for all add-ons to ensure effective integration and performance
  • Take full ownership of business units' P&L and operations during the integration period, managing them effectively to ensure business continuity and profitability
  • Develop and ensure team alignment around key investment metrics for monitoring integration success
  • Stay current in deal and integration thought leadership and best practices to maintain cutting-edge M&A integration capabilities
  • Own integration governance, and manage decisions and progress reports for Integration team

Qualifications

  • 10+ years M&A integration experience
  • Experience working in private equity backed companies
  • Knowledge of end-to-end corporate development activities and demonstrated ability to facilitate complex and time sensitive decisions
  • Exceptional project management skills with demonstrated capability in complex environments
  • Strong business acumen with direct leadership experience in at least one senior operation/functional role
  • High level of operational focus and rigor
  • Hands-on leader with experience building and leading highly effective teams
  • Able to build and sustain strong relationships at multiple levels internally and with partners; high emotional intelligence and an ability to challenge in a nuanced way; influencing areas of the business that are not under direct control will be critical.
  • Experience with a rapidly scaling technology/software business
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Technology or related field
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
