The Role
StarRez is seeking a Project Consultant to deliver exceptional customer experiences and drive project success. In this role, you will manage and maintain strong relationships with customers, provide product training tailored to customer needs, and collaborate with Project Managers and Senior Consultants on larger, high-impact projects. In this role, you’ll take the lead in resolving project and implementation challenges, adhering to established escalation procedures to ensure smooth outcomes. Role Specifics
- Work Location: Remote (US)
- Travel: 30% (The percentage of travel is an estimation, and it could vary based on business needs.)
- Reporting Structure: This role reports to the Manager, Professional Services.
What You Will Own
- Deliver engaging product training that enables customers to confidently adopt and use StarRez solutions
- Partner with customers in an Outsourced Resource capacity, providing operational support and guidance to help manage day-to-day StarRez administration
- Support Project Managers and Senior Consultants in the successful delivery of implementation, optimization, and consulting engagements
- Troubleshoot customer and project issues, applying sound judgment and following established escalation processes to ensure timely resolution
- Create, maintain, and continuously improve customer-facing and internal documentation, procedures, and knowledge resources
- Execute functional testing of product features, configurations, and supporting tools to validate quality and identify issues before release or deployment
- Build trusted customer relationships through responsive communication, proactive support, and consistent delivery of high-quality outcomes
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience working in Higher Education Housing or Residence Life operations
- Demonstrated experience as a StarRez Power User with strong functional knowledge of the platform
- Proven ability to build trusted customer relationships through successful delivery of services or projects
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience facilitating meetings and presenting to a range of stakeholder groups
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and issue management skills, with the ability to prioritize and resolve complex customer challenges
- Experience working with Student Information Systems (SIS), such as Banner, Oracle PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, or SAP Student Lifecycle Management
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Business, Higher Education, or a related discipline
- 2-3 years of experience working on cross-functional implementation, consulting, or customer success projects
- Experience supporting software implementations, change management, or business process improvement initiatives
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities while collaborating effectively across diverse teams and stakeholder groups
- Strong conflict resolution, negotiation, and relationship-building skills that foster positive customer outcomes
