We are hiring a Full Stack Software Engineer to join our team located in San Francisco, California.
As the Full Stack Software Engineer, you will:
- Develop both the front-end and back-end components of web applications. This includes designing and implementing user interfaces, integrating with various API's and databases and managing the server-side code.
- Design and implement data storage solutions while focusing to optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Operate with engineering best practices, coding standards, and development methods.
Essential Qualifications for this position include:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
- Professional work experience as a software engineer
- Ability to program proficiently in React.js, Next.js, Node.js
- Ability to design and implement data models
- Ability to integrate various APIs with relational databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, or PostgreSQL
- Knowledge of AWS services including EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, and Cloud Formation
- Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of IAM (Identity Access Management) concepts and practices
Preferred Qualifications for this position include:
- Ability to program in other languages such as JavaScript, HTML, Vue, or CSS
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools
- Knowledge of AI/ML concepts and the development of AI-driven features and models
- Prior professional work experience in a start-up organization
This is a hybrid work opportunity and our teams operate from the San Francisco office located on Third and Mission Street at least 4 (four) days per week. State Affairs offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package to employees.
The annual salary range for this role as it is posted is $138,000 - $176,000 for candidates working from the State Affairs office in San Francisco, California. The final job level and annual salary will be determined based on the education, qualification, knowledge, skills, ability, and experience of the final candidate(s), and calibrated against relevant market data and internal team equity. Benefits listed in this posting may vary depending on the nature of your employment with State Affairs.
