
Assistant General Manager
Overview:
The Assistant General Manager reports directly to the General Manager and is responsible for developing a high-performing team that consistently delivers top-line sales growth. This person will lead and support the staff with customer service, sales training, product knowledge, leadership development, inventory controls, and compliance.
Job Responsibilities:
- Working with the General Manager to plan and implement sales strategies to drive positive sales growth within the dispensary.
- Maintaining strong inventory controls and making sure that the store is upholding compliance standards.
- Coaching, training, and developing staff, making sure they are aligned with the company's goals and vision.
- Partnering with the General Manager to help create, monitor, and track the store's KPIs, and leveraging data to help drive decisions around labor costs, sales strategies, and training opportunities.
- Helping to hire, train and onboard new staff within the dispensary.
- Assisting with the store's day to day operations and partnering with other internal teams, such as marketing, retail operations, and supply chain.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of management experience in a high-volume retail environment.
- High School education or GED required, associate's degree or higher preferred.
- Previous experience in the cannabis industry a bonus.
- Experience with point of sales systems and backend compliance tools, such as Dutchie and Metrc.
- Strong leadership qualities and the ability to recruit and train staff.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Analytical with the ability to set and track store KPIs.
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work nights and weekends as needed.
- Must be over 21 years of age.
- Must have a valid State-Issued ID or U.S. Passport
- Must be able to occasionally lift 50+ pounds.
- Must be able to either sit or stand for long periods of time.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must have no scheduling restrictions.
