Job Opportunity – Safety Manager with Allied Technical Services in Cincinnati, OH

As the Safety Manager with Allied Technical Services, you will take a hands-on approach to developing, leading, and continuously improving our safety programs and training to ensure a world-class safety culture. You will take ownership of the organization’s compliance efforts, reduce risk, and identify and implement safety improvements. You will also be responsible for actively engaging with employees to build rapport, foster a strong safety culture, and earn trust and respect through demonstrated expertise and interpersonal skills.

The successful candidate will be an influential leader with the ability to develop, implement, and enforce policies and training programs that promote a safe and healthy work environment. Other requirements include:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and expand existing recordkeeping programs and safety procedures.
  • Develop and lead safety training programs.
  • Collaborate effectively across departments, including administrative staff and skilled trade field teams.
  • Proactively identify safety issues and implement practical solutions.
  • Respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.
  • Travel to project sites as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • CSP, ASP, CHST, OHST, or similar designation preferred.
  • 5+ years of commercial diving or marine safety experience with working knowledge of industry equipment requirements.
  • Construction industry experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, claims handling, accident investigation, and insurance programs.
  • In-depth understanding of ADCI, USCG, NFPA, DOT, EPA, and other applicable regulations preferred.
  • Experience with Contract Management Systems such as ISN, Avetta, Ariba, Compliance Works, etc., is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other basic office applications.
