Job Opportunity: Software Robotics Design Engineer with Fameccanica in Boston Hub (Middleton, MA)

Fameccanica North America is building its new Robotics & Automation Engineering Hub just north of Boston, and this role will help shape it from the ground up. As a Software / Robotics Design Engineer, you will design and implement software for advanced automation systems while working closely with the hardware. It is a strong fit for someone who enjoys hands-on problem solving and wants to make an impact in a growing U.S. robotics organization.
What You’ll Do
- You will design and implement software for robotics and industrial automation applications.
- You will work with PLCs, motion control, robotics platforms, and HMI/SCADA systems.
- You will support system integration, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- You will partner with mechanical, electrical, and controls teams to deliver solutions that meet technical, timing, and customer requirements.
What You Bring
- Strong experience in robotics, automation, and industrial software development.
- Experience with robot programming, PLC platforms such as Rockwell or Siemens, motion control, and HMI/SCADA systems.
- Experience with C#, Python, C++, simulation tools, or digital twin technologies is a plus.
- A collaborative, adaptable approach and excitement for building something new.

- Travel is expected to be approximately 15-30%, depending on project needs.
