As our Loan Closing & Servicing Specialist, you will sit at the center of the lending process, turning approved loans into closed deals and closed deals into well-managed, high-performing assets. You'll manage a dynamic portfolio spanning predevelopment, acquisition, construction, and permanent loans across affordable and market rate housing, community facilities, and other mission-critical community development projects.

What You'll Do
Loan Closing
- Coordinate and facilitate the loan closing process across a varied portfolio including predevelopment, acquisition, construction, and permanent loans for affordable and market rate housing, mixed-use developments, nonprofits, and other community and economic development projects.
- Develop and maintain closing checklists; collect, prepare, and review required loan forms, documentation, and due diligence materials.
- Serve as the primary point of contact among loan officers, borrowers, attorneys/legal counsel, and third-party partners throughout the closing process.
- Partner with legal counsel on loan document preparation, review, and collection of post-closing items.
- Review loan documents to confirm accurate implementation of approved loan terms and compliance with CDF's Lending Policy.
- Confirm project details at loan closing to ensure accurate compliance reporting.
- Coordinate disbursement of closing funds and related third-party payments.
- Enter, review, and maintain loan data and closing records in lending systems.
- Provide regular updates on closing status and progress to internal stakeholders.
Loan Servicing & Portfolio Support
- Support day-to-day loan servicing activities and procedures.
- Assist loan officers, asset managers, and Finance in processing ongoing loan transactions.
- Support construction loan budget management and related disbursement processing.
- Assist with borrower reporting and project documentation collection.
- Maintain loan records and systems to reflect transactions, modifications, status changes, and repayments.
- Support other servicing needs and special projects as assigned.

What You Bring
Education & Experience
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field required; paralegal certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in loan closing, loan servicing/operations, banking, title/escrow, or real estate transactions.
- Experience with affordable housing, multifamily lending, or community development finance strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with LIHTC, HTC, NMTC, and other publicly supported housing initiatives preferred.
Skills & Attributes
- Strong aptitude for numbers, problem-solving, and teamwork.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency with loan servicing/CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

- Competitive pay: $55,000-$65,000, depending on experience and qualifications
