Marketing and Communications Manager
Stratolaunch is a technology accelerator that engineers operationally realistic testing at Mach 5+. Our air-launched, Talon testbeds are reusable, cost-effective platforms that enable routine access to the hypersonic environment. Stratolaunch is seeking a dynamic Sr. Marketing and Communications Manager to create, implement, and oversee MarCom programs that will effectively describe and promote the company and its offerings including, but not limited to, graphics, brochures, presentations, advertising, videos, company/product fact sheets, logos, and other promotional materials. This position interacts with a broad range of internal and external audiences. The ideal candidate is highly effective with proactive public relations, internal communications, branding and organizational initiatives, change and issues management, and understands go-to-market strategy in support of business development. This individual will be wholly responsible for the marketing and communications function of the organization and knows how to get things done in a small and growing team.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and lead the overarching marketing and communication strategy for Stratolaunch.
- Partner with Engineers to develop strategic marketing and sales materials - including print, video, web and multi-media.
- Manage industry engagement, conferences, and sponsorships.
- Develop content and manage social media platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Redditto generate awareness of the Stratolaunch brand.
- Generate social media templates and guidelines for employees.
- Create strong relationships with senior leaders for speaking engagements and internal communication.
- Plan, coordinate and execute unique, high-profile events.
- Analyze and continuously improve marketing, sales and business development campaigns.
- Manage and archive all content and messaging.
- Support media training and crisis communication planning.
- Exhibit a willingness to work quickly and comfortably with fluid situations and ever changing challenges.
- Manage relationships with third party vendors and determine graphic design needs.
- Manage company store strategy, including inventory management, branding and external offerings.
- Develop communications campaigns and external communication materials for use with the media, industry stakeholders and clients – inclusive of print, digital and social media.
- Be a strategic communications adviser, able to develop and execute long-term communications programs, manage news flow, and drive change and issues management projects.
- Handle media inquiries and conduct media outreach.
- Execute a thoughtful approach to targeting appropriate outlets, networking, conducting research, and meeting regularly with reporters to reinforce relationships and identify story opportunities.
- Develop press releases, presentations, media programs, and other documents created for communications.
- Identify thought leadership opportunities to put an appropriate spotlight on Stratolaunch offerings.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience creating and managing content
- Demonstrated experience developing, and successfully implementing, marketing and communications strategy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to demonstrate initiative and flexibility working in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytic skills.
- Excellent communication skills and public speaking ability.

- Experience within aerospace and/or aviation preferred.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- BA/BS in Marketing or Business
- 10+ years of experience in Marketing and Communication

- Frequent travel required to Mojave Spaceport, and other domestic or international locations
Base salary and leveling are established on a case-by-case basis. We consider several factors to ensure a competitive offer, including your location, educational background, and a comprehensive assessment of the skills and experience demonstrated during your interviews.
