Manager Business Systems

The Manager of Business Systems is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of the organization's business systems and applications. This role ensures that business processes are efficient, scalable, and aligned with strategic objectives. The manager leads a team of analysts and administrators, collaborates with stakeholders across departments, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to support organizational growth.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- System Management & Optimization
- Oversee the administration, configuration, and support of core business systems (e.g., ERP, CRM, HRIS).
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies or system enhancements to improve business processes.
- Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of business systems analysts and administrators.
- Assign tasks, set priorities, and ensure high-quality project delivery.
- Project Management
- Manage system implementation, upgrade, and integration projects from initiation to completion.
- Develop project plans, allocate resources, and monitor progress against milestones.
- Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with business leaders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Facilitate communication between IT, vendors, and business units.
- Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and automate processes.
- Develop and document best practices, policies, and procedures.
- Vendor Management
- Manage relationships with software vendors and service providers.
- Oversee contract negotiations, renewals, and performance evaluations.
- Training & Support
- Develop training materials and conduct user training sessions.
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for end-users.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of experience managing business systems or similar roles.
- Proven experience leading teams and managing cross-functional projects.
- Strong understanding of enterprise applications (ERP, CRM, QMS, MES, PLM, etc.)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience with Costpoint, Manufacturo, Veryon, QT9, Jira, and Teamcenter.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- BS or applicable experience in lieu of degree

- This position is located in Mojave, CA
- Frequent travel required to Washington D.C., Mojave Spaceport, and other domestic locations
- Manager ($157,000 - $206,000K): Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree (preferred) in related discipline from an accredited institution and 10+ years relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Base salary and leveling are established on a case-by-case basis. We consider several factors to ensure a competitive offer, including your location, educational background, and a comprehensive assessment of the skills and experience demonstrated during your interviews.

Mojave Air & Spaceport is located just outside of Lancaster/Palmdale and is only 95 miles north of Los Angeles. The area offers both affordability and central access to a variety of California's best attractions and landmarks.
