In this role, you’ll support Strava’s global tax operations, collaborating with finance and revenue teams to ensure accurate tax logic and streamlined reporting. Your work will include preparing quarterly and annual provisions, managing federal, state, and international filings, and supporting indirect tax compliance.
We follow a flexible hybrid model that translates to more than half of your time on-site in either our San Francisco or NYC office — three days per week.
What You’ll Do:
Tax Compliance (Global)
Support the preparation of quarterly and annual income tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740
Assist with coordination and review of U.S. federal, state, and international corporate income tax filings
Coordinate VAT, GST, and sales/use tax registrations, filings, and audit responses in collaboration with local advisors
Work with FP&A and RevOps to align system tax logic (e.g., Shopify, Adyen, Paddle, App Stores) and revenue recognition practices.
Drive automation and reconciliation processes (e.g., Avalara).
Corporate Insurance & Risk Support
Support corporate insurance renewals and certificate of insurance requests.
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
5–7 years of relevant experience in corporate tax, ideally within a multinational company or Big 4/public accounting background.
Strong technical knowledge of U.S. federal, state, and international corporate income tax, including ASC 740.
Hands-on experience with VAT, GST, and sales/use tax compliance and filings.
Experience supporting quarterly and annual close processes, including income tax provisions and reconciliations.
Proficiency in Excel and financial modeling, with comfort using tax and finance systems
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or progress toward certification strongly preferred.
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation Overview:

We take a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on the department and your location. Salary ranges are categorized into one of three tiers based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. We will determine the candidate’s starting pay based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. We may modify these ranges in the future. Director of Revenue Accounting/SEC Reporting

We’re seeking a Director of Revenue Accounting / SEC Reporting who thrives at the intersection of technical accounting, SEC reporting, and revenue operations. This is a rare opportunity to build the financial infrastructure of a company that inspires movement around the world.
We follow a flexible hybrid model that translates to more than half of your time on-site in our San Francisco office — three days per week.
What You’ll Do:
SEC & Technical Accounting
Lead preparation of all key SEC filings, including 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K, ensuring quality and compliance at every step.
Partner closely with external auditors, Legal, FP&A, and Investor Relations to deliver transparent and aligned disclosures.
Maintain and evolve accounting policies (with particular focus on revenue recognition).
Assess new accounting pronouncements, collaborating across teams to ensure thoughtful adoption and clear communication of impacts.
Determine treatment for non-standard or complex transactions; document and collaborate with external auditors.
Lead the monthly and quarterly accounting close package, including preparation of consolidated financial statements.
Revenue
Ensure all revenue-generating transactions are recorded accurately, timely, and in line with Strava’s revenue recognition policy.
Oversee non-subscription revenue, including Strava for Business (SfB) invoicing, recognition, and collections.
Partner with Product, Legal, and Finance to proactively evaluate revenue implications of new product features, pricing models, and contract negotiations.
Collaborate with Data and Engineering to design automation and build SOX-compliant controls for contract intake and revenue reporting.
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA required.
10-15+ years of progressive accounting and reporting experience, including Big 4 and corporate experience (public company preferred).
Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and technical accounting (especially revenue recognition).
Demonstrated experience leading SEC filings and managing external auditor relationships.
Proven leadership skills with a track record of building, mentoring, and scaling high-performing teams.
Strong communicator who can translate complex accounting matters into clear business language.
Experience with process automation, systems design, and internal controls (SOX).
Thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments where flexibility and cross-functional collaboration are key.

We are looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to lead our Applied AI and Machine Learning team at Strava. This team is responsible for building and productionalizing machine learning models and AI systems that power key Strava user experiences. These models provide value to our athletes across product surfaces with capabilities ranging from personalization, recommendations, search, and trust and safety.
This is a critical leadership role where you'll manage and grow a team of ML engineers. You'll be responsible for roadmapping, driving technical strategy for AI that support Strava across multiple product verticals and balancing innovative machine learning models with product impact from AI solutions at scale.

What You’ll Bring to the Team:
3+ years of experience managing an AI/ML engineering team, with a proven track record of growing engineers and delivering complex technical projects.
Focus on applied ML solutions anchored user problems and business goals.
Demonstrated track record of solving complex, ambiguous machine learning problems and broken them down into strategies and tactical execution
Technical Experience building, shipping, and supporting ML models in production at scale for domains like recommendation systems, personalization or user understanding.
Interested in production ML model operational excellence and best practices, like automated model retraining, performance monitoring, feature logging, A/B testing, and scalable ML architecture.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders across multiple engineering and product teams.
