Stronghold Investment Management is seeking candidates for the role of Oil and Gas Business Development Manager. The position will work closely with multiple departments to facilitate the acquisition and divestiture of oil and gas assets in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should have a solid background in investment management, specific to the oil and gas industry, excellent negotiation skills, and an ability to handle a high volume of transactions. An ability to negotiate contracts, clearly communicate obligations, and maintain relationships with a variety of oil and gas professionals is also required. This role is scoped to work exclusively with other upstream oil and gas professionals within the industry.

Responsibilities: 

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with other mineral professionals operating within the Stronghold AOI
  • Work closely with the VP of Acquisitions to develop and implement strategies specific to transacting with professionals
  • Negotiate upstream business transactions, including but not limited to, mineral purchases, oil and gas leases, and surface estate purchases primarily interfacing with other mineral professionals
  • Host and attend various industry conferences, dinners, and other networking events
  • Coordinate with multiple departments in process of acquiring assets and protecting company position
  • Assist in integration of multiple applications designed to capture relationship touch points and data
  • Communicate issues involving title and contractual disputes to team and assist in resolution

Requirements: 

  • 5-7 years of industry experience in oil and gas
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Dedication to firm objectives and goals while exemplifying high personal and professional moral code
  • Demonstrated proficiency and measurable outcomes operating in a business development capacity
  • Effective communicator
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Full compensation packages are based on candidate experience and certifications.

Salary Range

$50,000 - $125,000 USD

Total Compensation Range

$75,000 - $375,000 USD
