We are seeking an experienced Reservoir Engineering Consultant to support our technical team in evaluating and optimizing type curve development in the Anadarko and Arkoma Basins. This role will focus on providing expert-level insight into reservoir behavior, operator development trends, and working interest structures across the region.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the SCOOP/STACK plays, along with demonstrated experience in geohazard analysis, reservoir modeling, and cross-functional collaboration with geology, land, and data science teams.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise Stronghold’s internal reservoir engineering team on type curve generation and normalization across Anadarko and Arkoma Basins.

  • Identify and map subsurface geohazards, including fault zones, pressure regimes, and stratigraphic anomalies.

  • Analyze operator development strategies, completion designs, and well performance trends within the basin.

  • Provide guidance on working interest assumptions and associated revenue attribution across Oklahoma and Arkansas.

  • Support technical due diligence efforts for asset evaluations and investment opportunities.

  • Collaborate with geologists, land professionals, and analysts to refine reservoir understanding and assumptions.

  • Interpret and QC public and proprietary data sources to ensure accuracy and consistency in technical evaluations.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related discipline.

  • Minimum 10 years of industry experience, with at least 5 years as a reservoir engineer in the Anadarko Basin.

  • Proven expertise in SCOOP/STACK plays.

  • Deep familiarity with Oklahoma working interest structures, well economics, and production forecasting.

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree or relevant advanced certifications.

  • Experience working with private equity-backed operators or consulting firms.

  • Familiarity with regulatory datasets (e.g., OCC, IHS, Enverus).

Contract Details:

  • Term: 3-6 months, with potential for extension

  • Hours: Flexible, project-based

Compensation: Competitive, based on experience

 

Full compensation packages are based on candidate experience and certifications.
