This includes creating and prioritizing user stories, epics, and features based on business value, stakeholder needs, and technical feasibility.
- Requirements Gathering & Definition: Collaborate with stakeholders across IT (including Infrastructure, DevOps, Security, Application Development) and business units to gather and document detailed requirements for Slack features, integrations, integrations, automation, and reporting.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as the primary point of contact for all Slack-related matters. Facilitate regular communication and feedback sessions with users and stakeholders to ensure Slack evolves to meet their changing needs.
- Data Integrity & Governance: Work with data stewards and technical teams to establish and enforce data governance policies and processes for Slack, ensuring proper usage, retention, and eDiscovery needs.
- User Adoption & Training: Develop and support training materials and adoption strategies to ensure users understand how to effectively utilize Slack and its integrations.
- Integration Management: Define and oversee the integration of the Slack with other key IT systems, such as change management tools (e.g., Jira), service desk platforms (e.g. ServiceNow), observability tools (e.g. Grafana), and monitoring systems (e.g. DLP).
- Continuous Improvement: Monitor the performance and usage of Slack, identify areas for improvement, and drive initiatives to enhance its functionality, usability, and value to the organization.
- Agile Practices: Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives) with the engineering and operations teams responsible for Slack development and maintenance.
- Reporting & Analytics: Define requirements for Slack reporting and analytics to provide insights into the IT environment, support decision-making, and demonstrate the value of Slack.
