This role is hybrid with 2 days per week required in either our San Francisco or New York City office.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly strategic and operationally-minded (Senior) Director of Marketplace Operations to lead the evolution of our marketplace engine. In this role, you’ll set the vision and direction for how our marketplace functions—from pricing and quality to fulfillment and performance management—and ensure it operates at scale with precision, efficiency, and customer impact.

You will directly manage three cross-functional teams: Revenue Optimization, Fulfillment, and Business Intelligence, each responsible for driving key marketplace levers. You’ll own a suite of metrics that define the health and performance of the marketplace and will design and launch scaled programs to move them.

This role is intended to be both analytical and operational. You’ll need to understand the nuances of supply-demand dynamics, build frameworks for decision-making, dive deep into data, and partner with product, marketing, regional ops, and leadership to execute end-to-end.

You will report to our Chief Commercial Officer and work closely with Tasker Operations, Regional General Managers, Marketing, Partnerships, and our Product & Data teams.

What You’ll Do

Marketplace Strategy & Execution

  • Define and drive the vision and operational strategy for how our managed marketplace runs—from pricing and availability to service quality and fulfillment standards.
  • Establish and own key marketplace health metrics, including supply-demand balance, pricing efficiency, cancellation rates, NPS, fill rates, and more.
  • Design, test, and scale programs that address systemic marketplace challenges (e.g., price elasticity, cancellations, quality improvement).
  • Set and manage quarterly OKRs for marketplace operations and deliver measurable business impact.

Revenue Optimization

  • Lead strategy around pricing, fees, incentives, and promotional programs that maximize marketplace health and profitability.
  • Continuously test and iterate on monetization strategies to ensure sustainable growth across categories and geographies.
  • Partner closely with Product and BI to analyze performance and implement pricing models that balance user growth and margin.
  • Work with regional teams to operationalize supply health models focused on ensuring we’re onboarding a healthy supply of Taskers while managing towards utilization and earnings targets.

Fulfillment & Operational Efficiency

  • Build and scale fulfillment programs that match customers with the right Taskers quickly and reliably.
  • Manage our scale work-force focused on manual fulfillment activities
  • Work on automation and scaling manual tasks through program automation and in collaboration with Product teams
  • Drive initiatives that improve on-time completion, reduce no-shows and cancellations, and enhance overall reliability of the platform.

Business Intelligence & Data Strategy

  • Lead the BI team in creating robust dashboards, reporting frameworks, and analytical models that inform strategic and day-to-day decisions.
  • Champion data fluency across the org by democratizing access to insights and helping teams act on them.
  • Work with Commercial functions to help generate insights + improve ways of working using data

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Act as the central connector between C-level leadership and functional stakeholders across Product, Marketing, Tasker Operations, Partnerships, and Regional Ops.
  • Advocate for marketplace priorities in product roadmap discussions and go-to-market planning.
  • Influence company-wide strategy through a deep understanding of marketplace mechanics and customer needs.

Who You Are

  • 10+ years of experience in marketplace operations, revenue management, product operations, or a related function.
5+ years in leadership roles, managing cross-functional teams with P&L or operational metric ownership.
  • Strong analytical background; familiarity with data platforms, SQL, experimentation, and marketplace algorithms.
  • Proven success scaling complex operational programs that drive marketplace growth or efficiency.
  • Deep understanding of two-sided marketplace dynamics and home services (or adjacent industries) a plus.
  • Clear communicator with strong executive presence, capable of influencing across all levels of the organization.
  • Highly collaborative, curious, and motivated by impact and customer outcomes.

At Taskrabbit, our approach to compensation is designed to be competitive, transparent and equitable. Total compensation consists of base pay + bonus + benefits + perks. The base pay range for this position is $155,000 - $210,000. This range is representative of base pay only, and does not include any other total cash compensation amounts, such as company bonus or benefits. A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
