Summary
As a Senior Staff Engineer, you will architect and build Salesforce solutions hands-on, supporting the evolution of the ecosystem that enables Temporal’s go-to-market and business operations.
In this deeply technical role, you will influence priorities and deliver high-impact solutions at scale, reporting to the Director of Business Systems. You will own Salesforce architecture end to end and partner cross-functionally to ensure systems are scalable, governed, and aligned with operational goals.
What You’ll Do
- 8+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience with strong technical ownership and deep expertise in Apex, LWC, SOQL/SOSL, Visualforce, and Salesforce APIs.
- Proven experience shaping Salesforce architecture and business system strategy at scale.
- Track record of leading high-impact, cross-functional initiatives where technical decisions influenced business outcomes.
- Strong experience integrating Salesforce with external systems (e.g., REST/SOAP integrations, iPaaS, middleware tools).
- Experience guiding execution and architectural decisions for GTM workflows, analytics, reporting frameworks, and automation platforms.
- Exceptional communication skills, translating technical tradeoffs and architectural decisions to both technical and business audiences.
- Mentorship experience — you help others grow while raising the overall bar for engineering excellence.
Nice to Have
- Experience with CI/CD and modern deployment tooling for Salesforce (e.g., Copado, Gearset, GitHub Actions).
- Salesforce certifications (Platform Developer I / II, Architect paths).
- Experience with enterprise analytics tools and data modeling.
- Exposure to AI-powered workflows or automation platforms.
Compensation & Benefits
- The estimated pay range for this role is $160,000 - $210,000 depending on experience and location.
- This role is also eligible to participate in Temporal's equity plan.
