Summary

As a Senior Staff Engineer, you will architect and build Salesforce solutions hands-on, supporting the evolution of the ecosystem that enables Temporal’s go-to-market and business operations.

In this deeply technical role, you will influence priorities and deliver high-impact solutions at scale, reporting to the Director of Business Systems. You will own Salesforce architecture end to end and partner cross-functionally to ensure systems are scalable, governed, and aligned with operational goals.

What You’ll Do

  • 8+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience with strong technical ownership and deep expertise in Apex, LWC, SOQL/SOSL, Visualforce, and Salesforce APIs.

  • Proven experience shaping Salesforce architecture and business system strategy at scale.

  • Track record of leading high-impact, cross-functional initiatives where technical decisions influenced business outcomes.

  • Strong experience integrating Salesforce with external systems (e.g., REST/SOAP integrations, iPaaS, middleware tools).

  • Experience guiding execution and architectural decisions for GTM workflows, analytics, reporting frameworks, and automation platforms.

  • Exceptional communication skills, translating technical tradeoffs and architectural decisions to both technical and business audiences.

  • Mentorship experience — you help others grow while raising the overall bar for engineering excellence.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with CI/CD and modern deployment tooling for Salesforce (e.g., Copado, Gearset, GitHub Actions).

  • Salesforce certifications (Platform Developer I / II, Architect paths).

  • Experience with enterprise analytics tools and data modeling.

  • Exposure to AI-powered workflows or automation platforms.

Compensation & Benefits

  • The estimated pay range for this role is $160,000 - $210,000 depending on experience and location.
  • This role is also eligible to participate in Temporal's equity plan.
Compensation ranges reflect salary and commission compensation (when applicable) across several geographic markets. Employment offers carefully consider multiple factors, including prior experience, knowledge, expertise, skillset, market location, and job level assessed during the interview process.
