Your Role:

As a Principal Product Manager, you will be responsible for building and managing the product roadmap and contribute significantly to the product strategy. This includes maintaining, prioritizing, aligning and socializing product goals and requirements to meet the needs of our customers and partners. Partners directly with engineering leaders, architects, sales, marketing, and research to define and deliver the next generation of vulnerability assessment.

Your Opportunity:

  • Understand and empathize with customer and business needs and translate into actionable product plans and requirements
  • Lead or participate in regular customer engagements to gather feedback on product needs, requirements, challenges, and to present the roadmap
  • Understand the competitive landscape, be the first seller of the product, and illustrate positioning for all audiences for the product story
  • Produce agile artifacts such as roadmaps, personas, success criteria and user stories
  • Partner with DevOps team to clearly define scope and priority for delivery of security and compliance feature initiatives
  • Collaborate cross-functionally, both horizontally and vertically, to ensure internal alignment on product requirements, goals, strategy, messaging, execution, and ongoing support
  • Lead or participate in meetings with Sales, Support, Customer Success, and other teams to gather feedback/requirements and keep them informed about changes and product plans
  • Partner with sales and marketing stakeholders to identify, prioritize, develop, and deliver world-class cyber-exposure SaaS/PaaS offerings
  • Be an active participant in the execution of go-to-market, launch activities, and conferences
  • Own product end-to-end through the entire software development life cycle
  • Prioritize critical aspects of our cloud computing infrastructure
  • Quantify success metrics for the team
  • Communicate to executive leadership and provide visibility to team contributions
  • Partner horizontally and vertically across the company to ensure alignment on strategy, deliverables, execution, and messaging
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities that management may deem necessary from time to time

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in computer science, engineering, design or a related field; Master’s degree a plus
  • 15+ years of experience in Product Management, Sales Engineering, Solutions Architect, Management Consulting, Product Owner, hands on operator, or related customer facing roles
  • At least 5 years of experience and documented accomplishments in Product Management and/or strategy experience
  • Have an entrepreneurial spirit and be able to work independently and effectively in a results-oriented, efficient environment
  • Ability to work with and lead cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.
  • Strong experience with hybrid agile development
  • Demonstrated track record as an empathetic listener and team player
  • Demonstrated success translating complex qualitative and quantitative customer feedback into successful products/features/solutions
  • Must be comfortable managing and putting structure around ambiguous problems
  • Outstanding organizational skills and ability to manage, align and prioritize a backlog of competing priorities
  • Experience collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data from disparate sources in order to drive conclusions and recommendations
  • Demonstrated ability to multiply knowledge – document research findings, market analysis, and product requirements for both technical and non-technical audiences. Constant producer of artifacts
  • Ability to own the product strategy, influence stakeholders, motivate engineering, and deliver the product strategy through the entire software development lifecycle
  • Excellent negotiation skills to effectively navigate across the organization to align required resources and achieve goals
  • Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to pick up a project, define deliverables, own it, and drive it to completion
  • Effective communication skills to present your work across the organization from engineering to executive level
  • Willingness to step into projects, create user stories, groom the backlog, and keep the team laser focused
  • Experience with enterprise level platform architectures: PaaS, IaaS, and SaaS
  • Experience with Web Services and Service Oriented Architectures (REST APIs)
  • Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Mentor junior product managers and help them achieve their potential and deliver projects
  • Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time
  • Some travel may be required

This is the base pay range for this position. Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, location and experience, and may fall outside of the range shown. Employees are also eligible for variable compensation in addition to base pay (commission for sales roles, bonus for non-sales roles), depending on company and individual performance. $188,000 - $250,666.67 USD
