Management Consulting, Business Development Analyst
The Opportunity
This Dubai-based role will be a vital part of the global and regional People team in partnering with business leaders, advising on people related issues and ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of HR services, reporting to the Chief People Officer. This role is critical in implementing strategic initiatives and activities within the organisation, whilst working with teams, managers, and key stakeholders to help build organisation and people capability.
The Global People Team

We are looking for a new member of the team to join our Dubai office and work across our four regional offices and play a pivotal role in helping us to achieve our core objectives:

The Role
As Head of People for the Middle East you will;
- Be a trusted partner and adviser to members of the regional senior leadership team, so that you are embedded within the team, participate in key meetings and are integral to all decisions relating to people.
- Quickly build an understanding of and support the business strategy through use of data and analytics to create business insights and recommendations.
- Partner with members of the senior management team whilst demonstrating the ability to influence and challenge when needed.
- Lead the planning and execution of the annual performance management cycle, succession planning and talent management.
- Operate effectively in a fast-paced complex environment with multiple stakeholders.
- Solve problems objectively using business analysis to identify issues, patterns and relationships and make data-driven recommendations.
- Provide day to day HR business partnering support to key stakeholders, with accountability for all HR services, including recruitment planning, staffing allocation, talent development strategy, performance management, engagement and all related project work.
- Play an active role in promoting diversity, inclusion and wellbeing, in line with the firmwide D&I goals.
- Take ownership of the management and execution of all employee relations matters, working closely with senior stakeholders whilst ensuring the firms compliance with employment legislation.
- Provide coaching and guidance to business leaders and teams on HR matters aligned to the business plan and the wider firm purpose and goals.
- Be responsible for the delivery of the relevant service line talent plan, working with business area leaders to distil it into relevant action plans, ensuring appropriate connection with the firm-wide talent strategy, working with the Chief People Officer and regional business leaders to achieve positive business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
People management
- Support the development of staffing models, allocation and management to ensure we are optimising the use of resources while creating opportunities for growth and development.
- Support the management of performance related issues with the Talent Managers – develop Performance Improvement Plans.
- Support conflict resolution discussions/employee grievances – acting as a neutral port of call for advice on HR issues.
- Support staff with all HR related admin issues that span the employee journey at Teneo, in line with local laws.
Culture
- Support the creation of a diverse, equitable and inclusive work culture.
- Lead on initiatives to create a sense of shared purpose and identity across all Teneo teams in the region, in line with our global values.
People/Learning & Development
- Help to map out current competencies and capabilities against what the regional business needs and identify opportunities to plug those gaps – tailored per level/service area.
- Help to enrich our L&D offering to staff at all levels leveraging online learning solutions, formal in person training and informal “lunch and learns”.
- Oversee the biannual performance review process.
Recruitment and retention
- Help to develop recruitment plans for the regional business, managing relationships with recruiters and conducting initial screening of candidates.
- Develop retention strategies to help keep talent engaged and committed to the business.
- Support the onboarding and offboarding of staff.
- Oversee periodic benchmarking of regional competitors to ensure our offer to current and prospective staff is compelling and attractive e.g. salary and benefits benchmarking.
