Program Management Intern

We are seeking a highly motivated Program Management Intern with a strong AI hardware or software technical background to join our dynamic team. This role will support the management of cutting-edge AI hardware and software projects, ensuring that all initiatives are executed efficiently and meet the required technical and business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a passion for program management and advanced hardware and software technologies, and will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative AI solutions.
This role is onsite, based out of Fort Collins or Austin.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing AI hardware and software development projects from inception to completion.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including hardware engineers, software developers, and product managers.
- Track project timelines, deliverables, and milestones to ensure timely completion.
- Help create project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies.
- Support risk management activities and help identify potential risks or delays.
- Prepare and present project updates to stakeholders and leadership.
- Analyze technical issues and collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve.
- Assist in evaluating new AI technologies and tools for potential integration.
- Maintain clear and organized project documentation and records.
- Contribute to improving processes and methodologies for AI hardware development projects.
- Work closely with product teams to ensure hardware aligns with product requirements and specifications.
- Support quality assurance efforts to ensure hardware meets performance and reliability standards and specifications.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Master’s or Bachelor’s program in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Strong technical background in hardware, software, or embedded systems
- Basic understanding of program management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Asana, MS Project) is a plus.
- Proficiency in office applications (e.g., Confluence, Smartsheet, Google Workspace applications).
- Experience with AI or machine learning hardware or software development is highly desirable.
- Experience with Python to be used for automation or other technical analysis is desirable.
- Previous internship or academic experience in program management or hardware development is a plus.
Compensation for all interns at Tenstorrent ranges from $50/hr - $70/hr including base and variable compensation targets. Experience, skills, education, background and location all impact the actual offer made.
