
Social Media Coordinator
The Florida Panthers enter the 2025-26 season as the two-time defending Stanley Cup Champions, having gone to the Stanley Cup Final in each of the past three seasons. The National Hockey League’s southernmost team, the Panthers have reached the postseason in a club-record six consecutive campaigns. The Panthers operate four facilities in Broward County, Florida: Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, the Panthers IceDen in Coral Springs, the new state-of-the-art practice facility Baptist Health IcePlex in Fort Lauderdale, as well as the renovated War Memorial Auditorium, which hosts concerts and events for the South Florida faithful.
An organization with deep roots in the community, the Panthers are owned by Vincent J. Viola, a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and a veteran of the U.S. Army. Emphasizing a culture of selfless service both on and off the ice, the Panthers pillar program ‘Heroes Among Us’ honors a United States military veteran at every game and the Florida Panthers Foundation has four main focuses including veterans affairs, children's health and education, raising awareness for the endangered Florida panther and growing youth hockey.

Job Summary:
Under the direction of the VP of Digital Marketing, the Social Media Coordinator will support in the construction and implementation of the organization’s social media strategy as it pertains to the Florida Panthers. This role will be deeply involved in the day-to-day content production of Panthers channels, as well as providing support to the organization’s ancillary accounts and will be an integral part of the content team to help push the Panthers brand forward.
Panthers Social Team Strategy:
Be a disruptor and be relentless. Using all available methods, best practices and algorithmic nuance and awareness, foster the fan relationship with the team while developing new fans by creating and curating engaging and compelling content, and prioritizing meaningful and consistent engagement every day.
Job Functions:
Specific duties include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for the day-to-day support of all Florida Panthers owned social media channels, including but not limited to: X, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.
- Stay up to date with relevant trends applicable to the Florida Panthers brand and ancillary accounts.
- Assist in leading event coverage of all Panthers games and events, concerts, and any other related events when needed.
- Collaborate with relevant internal departments to coordinate efforts and cross-promotional opportunities on events such as theme nights, ticket or community initiatives, and sponsorship activations.
- Monitor relevant social conversation around the Panthers, NHL, and the current social/cultural landscape.
- Focus on brand building, awareness, and relevancy to help continue growing the Florida Panthers brand throughout the market and larger areas of influence.
- Be an active part in brainstorming, creating, and executing content ideas for all company initiatives.
- Assist in influencer marketing strategies.
- Help manage relationships with other local teams, affiliates, NHL social, and vendors.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of relevant experience directly managing brand accounts.
- Should be extremely organized and detail oriented, with a focus on quality and consistency.
- Passion for social media, pop culture, and sports.
- Strong understanding of social media culture, platforms, trends, and strategy.
- Proficiency in using a data-driven strategy to drive KPIs and decision making.
- Experience using DSLR and mirrorless cameras and the Adobe Creative Suite is preferred.
- Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic a must, must have a “team-first” mentality with an eagerness to learn.
- Must be able to maintain and abide by organizational confidentiality standards.
- Ability to work under fluid deadlines and complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or other related experience.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Must be able to work flexible hours, including some nights, weekends, holidays, etc.
