Building Services Supervisor

This is a full-time, hourly position based on-site at The Mather in Evanston, IL. Weekend and holiday availability is essential.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Provide on-going scheduling, timekeeping, training and supervision of Building Services staff.
  • Oversee and perform work assignments to ensure timely completion of maintenance requests and work orders.
  • Provide, schedule, and document routine preventative maintenance of building, equipment and operating systems.
  • Provide expertise and assistance for emergency repairs and complex system problems.
  • Plan, execute and document periodic emergency drills and regular testing of fire and life safety systems.
  • Monitor inventory control of supplies, materials, equipment and submit purchase orders.
  • Coordinate preparation of living spaces for resident and family inspection and move-in.
  • Participate in and document findings for safety walk throughs.
  • Coordinate landscape and yard maintenance and snow removal.
  • Assist with surveys and inspections.
  • Participates in home turnovers.
  • Responds to emergency situations.
  • Schedule and coordinate outside vendors/contractors

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  •  Proven experience in a supervisory role - Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills 
  •  Comprehensive knowledge of life safety codes, HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical systems, and preventative maintenance programs

The hourly base wage range is a good faith estimate of the range Mather reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of the posting. The actual hourly base wage paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, geographic location and market changes. The position is also eligible to participate in Mather benefit plans and Employee Appreciation Fund. 

Hourly Pay Range

$28 - $36 USD
